Thread: Would you keep training a hologrinder who didn't even have the courtesy to thank you much less tip?
Get a tell from someone at the Coronet starport. "Can you teach me Cooking I?" I find him, and train him. No thank you. No tip. Just runs off.
30 minutes later I'm at my shop on Bestine. I get a tell from the same guy "Can you teach me Cooking II?". I tell him I'm at my shop near Bestine, he says to send him a waypoint. Shows up 10 minutes later. I train him. No thank you. No tip. He says "I'll be back soon".
I examine him and see the list of about 8 professions he's mastered, so it's obvious he's a hologrinder.
Would you guys train him again if he sent you a tell? I find it extremely rude. I bought all but one box of my chef skills. Thats over 100,000 credits I spent to get these skills. This guy can't even say "Thanks" ?
Is it just me?
Do you need apprenticeship points?(have you maxed out at 1240 already)
If so, train him, but definitely don't find HIM to train him. Make him come to you.
If not, I like the 50 percentof the NPC's cost idea.
Not because he's a hologrinder... because he's cheap and inconsiderate.
He isn't necessarily a holo grinder...but probably...
Before I knew what a Holo did, I had mastered Scout, Marksman, Creature Handler, and Carbineer. I was going to jump to Rifleman next. I master professions cause I like to keep the game interesting. I did hologrind artisan and chef. I know my next profession is Squad Leader, but I'm sticking with chef for a while.
Just tell him that you think it's unfair for him to expect free training.
/addignore
I put my first hologrinder on it yesterday, "tell me how to get through chef the fastest, what resources do I need, where can I get them" well you need to go to the forum and read the guide.."I know how to grind, I need you to tell me where to get supplies" I list off the few people who do sell flora...no response. 5 mins later I /tell youre welcome...no response...ok welcome to ignore...as well as from several other chefs in the land. I hope you enjoy that inflated training bill you just incurred on yourself.
Politeness goes a LONG way. Theres no excuse for rudeness.
Guess I have been lucky on Eclipse. Just trained one to master got another that should be getting close. They come to me and always say thank you. I have no need for the app points. But maybe they will find as much fun in the profession as I have and actually keep it.

He is a hologrinder. Weaponsmith. Armorsmith. Architect. DE. All listed among his masteries. Nobody grinds out all the crafting professions and never actually plays any of them. He is also a Master TKA and his bio says "blah blah blah TKA stuff".
He's definitely a hologrinder.
Also, for the other person who asked: No, I do not need apprentice points.
When he asks if you can train him say, yes. And tell him your on dathomir, and give him a waypoint to the middle of nowhere. And remember to /ignore.![]()
