to get resoures, I would say goto your galaxies trade forum and put a request on the resources you need. ( Have you read the guide to 'the grind' stickied up top of the chef forum?). Just ask for those resources + price.

In regaerds to grinding to novice, I just did a lot of grinds in artisan with muzzle powerup (low resources vs low money I had at time). I think bone armour plates or so give a lot higher xp but I didn't have the resources/money to afford a fast grind at the time).

Hope this helps..

All gone. Nothing to see now. Bye Bye Ahazi most of you guys were cool

How to grind to novice, i would say grind surveying tools. They are good xp for the resources used, you can get domestic arts four in no time at all, the novice will take a little bit.

I suggest you read the sticky threads in this forum, tehy will help you a lot, and welcome to the profession.

As to getting novice, I found the fastest way was to do Wind Survey tools to Engineering III, THEN do wind harvesters (I did em on practice).
It uses a few more resources, but you get to novice chef a lot faster.
I've done Master twice now, the first time I got to novice purely on wind survey tools, the second I did it on harvesters.

grr **edit** forum...

As for vendors, the best place to look & ask is the Galaxy Trade forum for your server.
In addition, check the ctrl-v map on planets like Tatooine, Corellia and Naboo, open up the vendors tree, and see if there are any resource vendors listed.
I find that very few people actually sell flora/water apart from on the bazaar though.
