Hello Chefs-

I am looking to start my career as a full-time chef and have some questions. What am I looking for when buying BE goods for Food Additives? I am planning on starting small and only making Canape and Brandy for the time being. Are there different Additives that will enhance different stats, and if so, which do you recommend for which food? I will have 12 pts of experimentation if that helps. Thanks in advance for any advice/suggestions.

The only BE additives to use for brandy and canape is for the bonus to nutrition. All else edges into insanity.

Sweet, thanks for the advice. And what kind of range in stats do these additives have?

For mediums (which is what brandy uses), shoot for 87 or above.

For heavies (which is what canape uses), shoot for 117 or above.

The operative words are "shoot for." On many servers, it's extremely rare to see any mediums higher than 85. Anything over about 82 is very acceptable, but as always, bigger is better. The theoretical maximum is 90 for mediums, but resources don't come along often that allow most BEs to get close to that.

I also have found it hard to find a reliable stream of BE componets with the high stats I like. I usually will accept 85's but nothing lower than that on mediums.

I too just mastered Chef and am looking to make it a permanent profession.

So the best BE Additive for Vas. Brandy is the Nutrition Additive?

I am also going to make Casks, as I hear/read that barrels are bugged.

I am confused, though, about the following post:

"For mediums (which is what brandy uses), shoot for 87 or above."

Before I find a BE to make me a schematic for the additive (Broad Spectrum Nutriant), what is the stat 87and what should I look for?

Thanks in advance,

Matthias

Good luck in finding a BE to make a Schem. But here's how the resources for BE breakdown

60 Flora and 20 meat for each BSN.

To hit the +87 mark you are looking at an avg of +900 in Fl, PE and OQ. So don't hold you're breath. +86's need arounf +870 and +85's need +840.

To reach the Max (+60 light +90 medium +120 heavy) You would need 1000 in FL, PE and OQ as base stats per resource in all 3 catigories. Thats never going to happen.

So anything thats +85 is Good. +86 Fantastic. +87 Great. +88 Rare. +89 Act of God. +90 Impossible.
