Something has bothered me, other than the numerous bugs and problems, throughout my entire journey to Master Chef. Since we are not the prima buffer of the game, we need our description changed. Right now these are our descriptions....

Novice Chef: The Chef learns to make exquisite foods, which can bring temporary and valuable statistic enhancement for other professions.

Master Chef: Master Chef can create the most delicious (and beneficial) foods available.

What should our descriptions be changed to?

I shouldn't talk, I'm not even a novice yet, but the grind to it has been a pain for me.

Novice Chef: Aperson who can't make anything better than an Simple Artisan, who only gets this skillontheir way to getting Mixology 2.

Master Chef: Some poor smuck who forgot to stop at Mixology 2 becuasethey didn't realize that they already had the best product in the profession.

Now I know there are a COUPLE other usable items such as veghash and such, but by and large there are prob three or four USABLE products. Other than that, there is low level pet food. (I use bofa treats since they take a small amount of simple food types. )

It's kinda sad, I went with my guild tohunt Krayts and offered free Sunburn for whoever wanted to use it, and didn't get any takers. How Sad!!!

Arrggh! I sell at least 7 different things at one time, and every branch has something useful in it (Mix: Sunburn/Blaster, Entrees: Veghash/Bivoli, Desserts: Ryshcate/Ice Cream) Not to mention that Master gives pretty nice items.

*rantON*

Does the strength/duration leave something to be desired? Sure. Are the bugs crippling? A little. Are the schematics misplaced/wrong/bugged? Absolutely. But the class is working a lot like the design should be at the endgame/master level. With the stack bug fixed (and the BE factory crates working), the class provides the most portable/least downtime of any buff (Doctors aren't very convienent, Entertainers have massive downtime, and Spice has a hangover that a lot of people don't want to deal with anymore).

After the stack bug took hold and I lost customers and was disheartened by the lack of response. After the Entertainer love I was furious (I've calmed down since). For many chefs I've met (on Ahazi), things are getting better though. Almost every single profession (ok, not weaponsmiths) feels that they: are worthless till master, don't make nice enough stuff, the grind is too hard, only sell 2 or 3 types of things, etc.

While it may only apply to masters, I'm willing to bet that over half the chefs running a vendor with advertising can barely keep up with sales/orders. If you aren't find other chefs and ask them how they do it, because unless there was a very short supply of chefs on a server (1-2 experienced), then the high level players (including the rich ones) would realize the worth of food, and be searching for chefs. Just my 2 cents

*rantOFF*

btw, Potillan, that’s hilarious!

I think the problem is that most of the rest of us aren't in it for the money. Our product, not matter how much it may sell, is not worth the resources used. Plus, when the devs come to our forum and basically say "we are aware Chef is totally fuxored and will be entirely rebalanced...eventually", its hard to buy into the we-are-fine-just-a-little-buggy argument.

I wanted to play a buffing class. As I said in a post on another thread, if the endgame is millions of credits in the bank, then I'm upset I didn't quit sooner.

HEY! You two who want to argue get off the thread an start your own argue thread. This I a request for a description change. If you don't have one you can take some time, think about one, THEN post it. There is a post where you CAN argue like that; it's the Chef Wishlist post. There you can argue about what to wish for and throw pennies at the Devs' heads.

Here's mine....

Novice Chef: The Chef learns to make foods that are worse than Domestic Arts 4 foods. From this point he/she can hope to find better foods later.

Master Chef: Master Chef can createa handful of useful foods an not use almost 100 other recipes. From this point he/she can expect NO changes because we at SOE don't love you.

Cyene,

My response was related to the post stating that someone could not give away their food (sunburns at that!). I went off a little, but I was trying to state that his view was in the minority.

Sorry for hijacking
