Thread: Need XP for a Novice Chef
I just trained Novice Chef, and was wondering how to get XP for food.
1. I'm crafting Wastril Bread right now, is that the best for XP?
2. Does it matter what resources I use, will I get more XP if the craft is of a higher quality?
3. Can I get XP by giving the bread to my friends to eat, or do I have to sell it to someone to eat to get the XP?
Does anyone have any good combos they would like to share, for making good quality food?
Thanks for the help
1. Wastril bread is the best xp source until you get either Stewed Gwouch (entrees 1) or Ithorian Mist (Mixology 2, and your dedicated grind until you master).
2. The quality of the finished product has no effect on crafting xp earned. You'll always get 70 xp (78 with practice turned on), whether it's made from bantha poodoo or the finest talusian berries.
3. Food gives you Usage xp (UXP) when someone eats food crafted by you, and finishes the last dose of the stack. So if you made a 5 dose stack of Wastril bread, your friend can eat the first 4 doses with no gain, but once he eats the last one, you get 50% of the original craft xp (35 for wastril). It doesn't matter if you sold it or gave it away, it's the consumption the system cares about.
