I am a new Chef, and I notice Tatooine Sunburn uses Starshine Surprise, an Artisan drink. Does food experimentation work for artisan products, or is it only General Experimentation? Is it worth it to be a Chef with Master Artisan underneath to make some excellent Starshine?

To my knowledge, you don't get any additional experimentation points if you master the Artisan tree. You do however get more points if you get Engineering IV.

I believe you also get one more experimentation point for being human, which is why my chef character is a human master artisan.

Master Artisans do get extra experimentation points. The remaining come from the Engineering and Domestic Arts trees. While experimentation has not shown that the quality of Starshine Surprise affects the quality of the Tat Sunburn it makes, we do have two food subcomponents in the Dom Arts line (Carbosyrup and Dough) and the quality of these DOES affect the chef foods that require them.

I have just had to give up Master Artisan due to a skill point crunch, and Engineering is going to be the next to go. In order to make the same high quality foods as before, I'll have to get a Master Artisan to make my carbo and dough schematics for me.
