I noticed something odd this morning. I went to make a schem to start a run of BSN's. I used the following resources:
Units OQ PE FL
Sredismot60 922 944 876
Oqa 20 490 798 912
This resulted in a BSN with a 87 bonus. I said *WOW*. The last time I made a BSN schem (before pub 9, 2 days ago) I used the following resources:
Units OQ PE FL
Sredismot60 922 944 876
Eaci 20 482 872 946
This resulted in a BSN with a bonus 0f 85. Now, the only differece in the resources here is the meat, and it's not much of difference. Infact, the meat that produced the 85 is a little better. So why did slightly worse meat produce a better additive after pub 9? (Both additives were experimented to the max possible of course).
Anyone else notice anything like this?

What was the "max possible" you experimented to? Was it the same/similar for both batches? If so, it sounds like they may have bumped the ranges for BSNs (sounds unlikely, but might explain some of the "invalid object" errors some people are seeing with additives). Or did the batch made today end up with a higher percentage? And did you get any amazing successes when you experimented?
I wonder if they put the "amazing bump" back in...

No amazing successes on either, just greats. Didn't look at the percentages, I'll have to check that tonight.

This is crazy... I got home today, tried to re-create crafting the 87 additive with those resources. I can't do it. I get 85 every time, even if I get amazing successes which I don't remember getting anyway. Yet I have proof; a schematic created this morning with the exact resources I'm trying now with an 87 power.

I have read about occasioanl 'wild' experimentation schematics. This has come up a couple times in the Eclipse forums with regards to weapons crafting. I am not a crafter, so can't give you any hard details, but apparantly every once in a while you get a schematic that goes beyond the intended limits/resources-used. It sounds like a random thing, so count your blessings on that schematic and maybe sometime in the future it will happen again.

The exact same thing has happened to me on BSN's, also on a 85/87 schematic result, and that was pre pub 9. Guess it just happens, albeit too rarely, lol
