I read various articles here and there that said a bonus was given if you crafted in a camp.
So last night, I trained inScout to see.
While standing at the edge of a city, I made one item.
Entrees I: Synthsteak: 20 vegetables, 20 cereal, 5 hide, 180 xp (189 in practice mode).
I get 189 exp.
I craft a camp, go outside city limits and pop it. Sit down in the chair and make the same item.
I get 189 exp.
Was this...
A)something of the past where you used to get a bonus for crafting in camps?
B) Do you have to be in a camp of a certain level before you see the bonus?
C) Busted in the latest Publish (9) ?
D) An urban legend?

I never heard of a bonus. I know you used to be able to craft while sampling while sitting in a camp. A 3 for 1 xp gain.
The higher level Ranger camps have crafting stations in them, but I never knew of an XP bonus. It might have been back before they gave a practice bonus.

I always thought that was something those perverse aspiring rangers told us to lure us into their nasty little camps.

I think what it is, is Scouts and Rangers craft camps, while in a camp. That way they get the xp for craftingcamps, and also the xp for being in the camp, since both give wilderness survival xp.
