Someone's got one for sale with food assembly bonuses and I want to buy it, but it's no use to me if I can't wear my apron at the same time. Anyone know if these can be worn together?

Cheers in advance

No you can't im pretty sure. I don't have an apron cuz I wear a +8 food experimentation robe, and a apron will not go on with it. My robe is not a Tusken robe, but don't see how that would matter.

IIRC, the available clothing slots for most species are:

Feet (not available for Trandoshans)

Pants

Belt

Shirt

Jacket (apron uses this slot)

Hands (not available for Mon-Cal or Trandos)

Head

There's a few more jewelry slots (rings, necklace, bracelets) but those don't come out with sockets.

Some pieces of clothing take up multiple slots. A body suit uses up pants & shirt, for example. Anything that's an "outer layer" piece (apron, coat, robe) uses the Jacket slot. I'm pretty sure you can still wear pants/shirts under robes, though.

If the tuskan robe has a large benefit over the apron (say a +10 experimentation) I'd say go with it. With the limited slots, it's generally best to get as large a bonus per slot as you can. If the robe is close to the same bonus (+6/7) or lower than the apron, I'd say give it a pass.

I managed to get a Tusken robe last night with no bonuses (ie 1/10000 the cost )just to see if it could be worn with an apron, but it couldn't. It's a +7 food assembly robe I was looking at, but it's not really worth it over the apron as the robe has no slots free.

Bah, thought I'd found something good

I wouldn't get it if its just food assembly. I really dont' think assembly is all that important to a chef. Assembly only helps on the intial combine. If you were a weaponsmith dealing with krayt tissues, or a armorsmith with nightsister shards or somethign that assembly bonus is huge, but if you waste a couple berries and fruit on a bad assembly not a huge deal.
