That is the stupidest thing ever. "Fruits" is a sub-type of "fruit"?
Man....that is just stupid.

Hey all, im brand new to chef and am grinding my way up, as per the FAQ...and im TRYING to make kiwik swirls...
There are 2 slots for berries, and 1 slot for fruit. Now, im using some nabooian berry for the berry component, but i can't get anything to go into the fruit slot. My understanding is that berries are a sub-category of fruits PLUS i have 150k tatooine flower fruits in my inventory....NOTHING will go into that slot.
Anyone else having this issue, or is tatooine flower fruit not a fruit?
It's not a crafting station issue...i have a crafting droid and the right tool....im a master AS with 24 professions down, so im not some moronic newbie.
Thanks for the help folks.

Heh I think every chef has this once in a lifetime.
Fruit are broken down in three types.
Berry Fruit
Flower Fruit
Fruits Fruit
If a schematic requires Fruit you can use any of the three. Kiwik swirls require Fruits the subtype.
If you open your survey tool you'll see the three subtypes and it'll all become a little clearer.
Good luck.

Think of it like generic fruits as bananna's, coconuts. melons etc. Think of flower fruits like tomatoes, cherries, Apples, peaches, etc. think of berry fruits as strawberries, blueberries, etc.

That helps makes things simpler to understand. Naboo berry fruit might be a cranberry while tat berry fruit might be strawberries and dant berry fruit might be raspberries. Tat "fruit" is watermelons, naboo fruit is bananna's, dant fruit is honeydew. All the examples I gave areconsidered fruit, but in schmetics, only the "sub-names" matter. All are considered fruits by a surveying tool, but are seperated accordingly into the sub-group for schmetics for chef's food/doctor schmetics..
