Thread: WARNING: Avoid consuming any food/drinks with negative stat modifiers.

From my experience with Starshine Surprise, negative modifiers are working twofold. Instead of giving -47 to my focus it gives -94. And when it wears off only half of that goes away. This effect is compounded by taking multiple doses. After drinking two I was reduced to 212 focus and in the end left with 306.

Also, there appears to be a potential exploit involved with this bug. After first drinking the two Starshine Surprise I found myself unable to take damage in combat or from using special moves. I recieve no indication of damage over my head nor in my HAM bar and stats. I was, however, able to suffer battle fatigue and wounds. I noticed that while I was invincible the effects of the two drinks have lasted past their labeled duration. After I logged out and back in my stats were normal (save for the 306 focus) and I was no longer invincible. I've yet to be able to duplicate this effect, but it should be looked into immediatly.

I've already sent a full bug report of these events, but I've posted them here in hopes that the devs might catch wind of this sooner and to warn others.

-edit- Would be master chef that is. Apparently the devs don't really care about fixing the fact that our products are pretty well broken.

So I guess that should read..

When you were invincible, were you still seeing damage spam of the mob hitting you? Had a case once where, same thing, after eating/drinking, started a fight, and HAM bars weren't dropping at all, despite the spam of being hit. Won that fight, felt uber, checked stat numbers, all good, sojumped into another. And promptly died (with full ham bars). They worked properly again after i repopped.

Have recently noticed the weirdness of negative stats too. ieAfter the drink had worn off, my focus was down to 212 (360'ish normally). First piece of armour I put on returned it to normal.

So thatbug (imo)has a workaround, but thethe firstone is just plain dangerous. =) Not sure what would happen ifsomeonewere to try healingwhile HAM weren't displaying correctly.

So THAT's what happened?!

I've been hit with this bug, where your HAM bars stop updating. Heck, I wasn't watching the combat spam (silly) and got incapp'd with full bars when I took on my next fight. Problem remained until I logged out and back in. Not game-breaking, but NOT something you want to have happen. The medic I was with healed me just fine, but neither the wounds I took, nor the healing had any visual effect on the bugged HAM bars. Be careful out there, folks - this one can get you killed, if you're not paying attention.

In other words - you can't tell how beat up you are until you die, and neither can your medic.

I think it's just a case of the HAM (and eggs) display not being correct....I have had the problem as well....you think you are at full health then bonk!!.....you kissing dirt.

However if you had used a milk based product...I think you would truly have been invincable.

The work around is eating something that positively effects the low stat. Aircake is very good for this. Everybody should have some aircake on them at all times, it's the miracle cure

Last night, an example:

guy1: dood, my quickness is still at 495, it should be at 500

guy2: are you equiping any armor? any wounds?

guy1: nope and I've had this problem for two weeks now, you must permanently degrade as a character

guy2: that sucks! I need to be more careful!

guy1: me too, i've tried everything, and nothing fixes it

I've seen this way too often, I always distribute air cake for free now, just to get the message out. Air cake is my best seller now and no one seems to want any non-Sunburn food for anything else. I wish that if they kept stat loss in the game, they made it more severe, so food might serve a healing function of some kind.

from my experience any food (not drink) will cure stat loss no matter what stat it is

I have eaten Westrel Bread to cure the focus stat loss from Sunburns
