Thread: selectdraftschematic ## issues now

So is anyone else using this??? I've set myself up a nice little macro that will kick open my food crafting device and then directly go to stewed gwouch... Only after this patch, the draft schematics keep juggling around... It's hard enough to find the draft schematic you want to use, nevermind now the numbers seem to change every time you add a waypoint.... When I'm frequently /sampleing while I'm crafting, waypoints get added and changed frequently..

So did anyone else have issues with this??? cause it was seriously pissing me off... having to alter my 4 macro's every 30 minutes from "selectdraftschematic 30" to "selectdraftschematic 29" and then back to "30" or "31" is getting really old.

I haven't tried it out, but here's what could affect this:

1. Did you take any crafting missions?
2. Are you near a crafting station?
3. Did someone with a droid with a food/chem crafting module come near you?

All of these things add stuff to your datapad, and may mess up the numbers. The most likely candidate is #3.

Those wouldn't effect the selectdraftschematic part normaly.

One thing I never got was how we were suppose to know which schematic was which number?

bring up your datapad and go to the schematic list. Count from left to right top to bottom till you get the schematic you want. That will give you the approximate number of the schematic you need (or atleast it's worked for me so far)

That's exactly how I did it... I think I had to move up or down one or two for the exact design, but that number gave me the general area.

Hm... I have a droid (with a food station... go figure) that I break out when I'm looking to craft resellable goods... but this doesn't really add anything to my datapad... which is odd.

If I didn't gain any new skills last night (ie. can not craft anything new) nothing should really of been added to my schematic list...

:/

Still trying to figue out what might of happened.

SirVimes - once you get this working it's really quite nice... simply hit F1 and then add the components for say stewed gwouch... I will most likely make a hot keys for frequently crafted sellable goods in the future as well, it's just so much easier then hunting for the desired end product.

On a side note, at least they now open up the crafting session on the LAST item you crafted. So if you're grinding Wastril Bread, your cursor will start on Wastril Bread the next time you open up a food crafting tool.

trivan, what happens when they say "adds a item to datapad" is that some things will ONLY be craftable near a crafting station. So it was a schematic that was added that was throwing it out of whack for you

"stewed gwouch"

I still say I will never, ever grind anything that I cant say with a straight face!

I've found that the schematic count never changes, as long as the same crafting tool is used every time (public and private stations will have their own count depending on what you can make at them)

The schematic number is the number listed before sorting them, and only counting the schematics that can be made with the tool you are using (you wouldn't count a sunburn if you are only using a food crafting tool). As you gain schematics in your skills, the new ones are added to the end of your list. Looking at your list you can see which skills you earned first, because they will be at the top.

Most likely someone had a droid with a food/chem module installed nearby. I had this same thing happen last night. I was grinding at the bank in Coronet and all of the sudden my schematic went from Ithorian Mists to Tatooine Sunburns(happens when I am around a crafting station). Someone had whipped out their droid in front of me. Annoying at best(I know they weren't intentionallly doing it), but interesting to find out. I always thought I needed to target my droid to be able to craft the special stuff.
