I've got an RP friend who's doing an in-game wedding and thought it would be really cool to get a wedding cake. Is this something that can actually be made with the current state of resources? If so, are there any chef's on Bria who could cook one up?

Just wanted to let you know, I don't think there are any chefs on Bria that can make Wedding Cake yet. I am going up the dessert line myself right after I get Mix 2, which should be any day now. So unless there is a Bria baker I don't know about, it may be a while.

That depends on when the wedding is. I don't have it yet, but at the rate I'm grinding (I LOVE THAT NEW MACRO, I'm twisting 7 crafting tools) I could have it within a week, maybe as early as sunday. I just wish I didn't have to go to work grrr.

The wedding is this Sunday, so we may have to do without :-(

Thanks Willow and Portillan for taking the time to respond. If you hear of anybody or do make the big jump some time soon I'd appreciate it if you let me know. [If you tell me in game and get my afk response, it's because I'm doing the afk-macro thing too. Trying to get enough musician xp to get a visual effect that allows me to target someone else. I think it would be really cool to be able to spotlight the happy couple :-) So while I'm working towards that, Grrif is online 24/7 even if I (the player) am actually at work or sleeping.]

If we can't track down a cake by Sunday, maybe we'll just have to have a second big party some time after the honeymoon....

BTW, do you know what we can do with the cake if we can get one? If we drop it in a house, do you know what kind of visual it has (for guests to ooh and aah at)? Can it be "cut" so all the guests can have a piece? Anything else clever that you know of that could be done in the spirit of roleplaying a wedding/reception?

grrif I have a great idea for you,

Any chef can make you a simple Air Cake. And when they make it they can relabel it as "wedding cake".

I am catering a wedding reception this afternoon on the Tarquinas server, and that is what I'm doing, since I don't have any points in the dessert tree as of yet.

The other advantage is that Air Cake is relatively inexpensive to make, which is helpful when roleplaying is the goal, and not stat boosts.

Thanks Haala--Great suggestion!! In fact why settle for just "wedding cake" when you can put their names in the frosting too....

I second the air cake renaming suggestion. Turns out the wedding cake looks EXACTLY like air cake, and has worse (i.e. zero) effects.
