Thread: Plenty of recipes, but still not a whole heck of a lot of variety!

There are SO many stats, attributes and skill modifiers in this game that I don't understand why 70% of all our recipies all boost ACTION. Some at the cost of mind, some at the cost of health, some with no other cost at all. There doesn't seem to be any logical use for so many different recipies that do the same thing.

Other professions have incrementally increased effects with their crafted items where as we get better experimentation and a new name and picture for the EXACT same effect...

There's a lot of variety to play with and yet the only logical explanation I can think of is so that people can make these effects with several different ingredient combinations so shortages dont effect us as much...

I'm I wrong in saying that we have TOO many recipies that do the same thing?

I just became a novice chef today. Even in the domestic line there is a lot of overlap. Some items certainly replace others. Some items that make action do so much less time and amount in the lower tiers than they do in the higher tiers. You also have the issues of food and drink limits, so you want overlap on food and drink.

That being said, I'm sure they could cover all the stats with a lot less recipies than they do now. With 9 stats you can probably cover them all with a dozen or so food and drink recipies.
