Thread: Um...that Dev response was bogus
I think it is a good start. I am unsatisified with the answers myself, but it is a good first step.
What I don't want is to turn this into an adversary thing, us vs. the developer. I want to hear from him more, and I want there to be better communication between the players and the developers. And if he feels like he is going to be attacked when he comes to these boards...
So with that in mind...yeah, I do want more and I expect more in the future. But this is a good step...I just really hope it is the first of many.
Oh, and I am not saying we should kiss butt or be fanbois. If I see something I don't like I will mention it and speak out....and spam Q-3PO and Xahn...and do whatever I have to do to draw attention to the issue.
I just want to try to keep things friendly. ![]()
I'm confused why everyone seems to be so effusive and encouraged over the responses we received from the Dev's.
My first reaction was...it took them over a month to respond like this?
So I've read and re-read it and I"m still stuck with that impression. To me it looks like the dev spent about 5 minutes reading our issues, because he obviously doesn't 'get' a couple of them, and then he spent another 5 minutes writing up lame answers.
I think what we have here on the boards is a classic 'victem-abuser bond' reaction. We've been abused so much that SOE can respond with any drivel that isn't an active kick-in-the-nuts and we go gaa-gaa over them.
**SOB** Thank you so much SOE, I'm so encouraged now **SOB**
Give me a break
What struck me as "amusing" about the response was that I read it like: "ok, so you have problems, we'll look into that"... now... could someone tell me why they needed a list of issues and .. what... four weeks (?) to tell us that they are going to do something
What did they do prior to that response? What use was that list of issues? We could have gotten that response two days after launch....
Anyway.. it doesn't really bother me much.. it's just that every time I see a developer response I hope for the impossible... specifics.
But hell.. if not speaking means they're working to fix things, then by all means keep quiet devs ![]()
