I made Master Chef from a holo and decided to stick with it.

So my questions are; what happens to the stuff I'm making now when the changes go live? Am I wasting my resources? Should I just be making sub-components like carbosyrup or will those not work in the new configuration?

Pre-patch components work fine in post-patch recipes. Although don't worry about making crates of puk (like anyone ever did), since they removed that one. They also removed Aludian, Kyllesian Fruit Distillate, and Solluston Gin, but those work in any slot requiring alcohol so are still usable.

Pre-patch foods willretain the same stat effects and duration. They will also keep the same filling (and that should be displayed when you examine the food). One thing that people are going to notice, though, is that they won't digest as fast. I did some testing on Live, and Angerian Fishak had about 60% filling and digested in around 12 minutes. With the new stomach system, it's going to take around 18 minutes. Since most Fishak has a duration around 12-15m, people who drink a new one when the effect wears off are going to start seeing "you are too full to drink that" on the third or fourth drink in a row.

So what happens if you use pre-patch Aludium in one of the new recipes? Same effect as using new alcohol or does it make better versions of the new recipes?

Aludium had same effect as post-patch alcohol. So if you're going to stock up on subcomponents to prepare for the revamp, stick to basic alcohols.
