This is what I plan on having as my main served food/drink.

Vasarian Brandy
20 x 1000 berries
20 x 1000 fruits

Alcohol
10 x 2000 cereal

Container(Cask)
150 x 1000 gemstone (ouch)

Trim
20 x 2000 fiberplast
5 x 2000 inert petro

BE enhancement
35 x 1000 organic
25 x 1000 flora food
20 x 1000 creature food

This adds up to 340k resources for 1 factory load. This is just one type of food and only 40 crates which is gone in 1 day. This high resource to output ratio is absurd. I like to consider myself a semicasual player although I am using up to 30 lots(friends) at a time. I know I wont be able to keep up with the demand at all with this large amount of resource requirements. I wont be contracting any tailors or BE's to make the parts for me, just the schematics. Even if I did the resource load I would bear would be very substantial still at 210k per 1000(40 crates).

I am also curious that if enough chefs use the larger drink containers if the demand will lower enough so that I can keep up. I feel a little uneasy with my future in this profession.

Think about how much money your making though.

340k Resources x 20 CPU = 6.8 Million / 40 Crates = 170k Per Crate ( People will pay for quality ) Reduce this if you want.

340k Resources x 15 CPU = 5.1 Million / 40 Crates = 127.5k Per Crate

or even

340k Resources x 10 CPU = 3.4 Million / 40 Crates = 85k Per Crate

Depending on the quality of the resources and the output, I would pay those amounts... The top one being high quality and the low one being decent/discount quality.

You still make a bundle.

You neglected that Vasarian uses 2 identical alcohol for a component, not 1. You will need double the alcohol, making it an even 350k resources. So bump that up one more factory run and a couple of thousand credits there.

I still think its worth it. Making 40 crates of fishak took:

80k high quality resources for aludium

6k fair quality resources for the carbosyrup

40k high quality for the fishak

Thats 126k, but only for one mind stat. Also, most of the other resources for the brandy can be crap. I just plan on cross server lot trading a bunch of statics to get w/e spawns under it. Leave my lots for the good stuff.

If you want to keep going to buff willpower and focus then you would have to also add in (the food Id use) ryshcate and vercupti, so:

20k fair quality for the dough

60k high quality for the vercupti of which 20k is insect meat

Add 80k to the 126k for so far, a total of 206k

Last is ryshcate:

40k high quality for aludiums

6k fair quality for carbosyrups

30k high quality for the ryshcate

Add 76k to the 206k and we have a total of 282k to buff all mind stats, given along with 2 other stats, for a pretty full drink/food bar. Not to mention the huge factory times to make 3 different foods.

This is the way I am looking at it now. Not fishak vs vasarian, but rather fishak, ryshcate, vercupti vs vasarian. I hope I may have been able to maybe change your mind a bit or have a more optimistic view on it. That explanation is what makes me give a sigh. I no longer have to make 3 foods to buff one area of stats. I can focus on making other foods now.

Yeesh, I think the most I ever made of one run (non-component) is like 8 crates. My plans for the new foods are to pick a dozen or so of what I think will be the best sellers, and make a crate or two plus 10 singles, and put em up for sale. Depending on how long it takes them to sell out, I'll then raise the number I make of the best sellers until I judge how many it will take to have a week's worth of stock. After that I'll add a couple crates of a couple items until I am at my comfortable manufactiring limit.

I consider myself the Chef Nazi: I don't make huge quantities, just what I want to make to sell; I don't advertise; if people don't like the prices, I tell em to go elsewhere; and I don't do special orders. Despite all this, I still managed to make more money then I knew what to do with

EDIT!!!!! OF course, with the manufacturing times coming way down, I may make larger runs, that was the big limiting factor for me before.

I love making money and all but I also like to provide lots of people with lots of food. I use a lot of food myself and I just dont think that chefs can keep up with the demand unless they have 4 accounts and a lot of time.
