Thread: Food Barrels?
If I'm not mistaken, the added benefit of the containers was given to accomplish two goals:
1) Eliminate the mineral components in every single drink (which which were conceptually added as a "glass" or "flask"). These resources didn't have the right attributes (no PE, FL on most of them), so they were hurting the experimentation resultsfor all drinks.
2) Offset the added complexity of the containers in the manufacturing process. They were adding an extra step (to take care of the metal requirements in a quick and uniform manner) to the process, so they made it somewhat beneficial.
Since the foods don't have a widespread use of mineral resources, they opted to correct the schematics individually. So food will require one less step to craft than drinks, but don't allow you to conserve your HQ resources by using alot of grind stuff instead.
