You guys deserved this revamp so much. Coming from one perenially beleagured profession to another: You made it! And you were due.

So, what BE additives should I be stockpiling the ingredients for, and what kind of pricing would you like to see?

If I were you, save up to make a variety of all of them. Then once the chef revamp goes through question the chefs to see which ones are more helpful to them.

I personally would like to have a BE that could supply me with all of the additives. Yes, I will probably use one or two more than others, but I would still like to have all available additives at the ready in case I needed them.

But I'm on Starsider, so my information may differ from that of yours.

I've got a list of the BE tissues and their resource requirements at the bottom of my revamp food list:

http://home.comcast.net/~sciguyCO/swg/FoodChart.htm

I keep meaning to check the BE skill tree to see when the schematics are gained, but between RL and some stuff I've needed to do with my main character, I haven't gotten onto TC for a few days.

As for pricing: 1credit each.

Well, ok, I guess that won't be happening. There was a post by Velor (a BE) here a couple days ago with this proposed pricing based on the resource requiements:

Duration Quantity Filling Effect
Light 354 480 720 990
Medium 552 510 1170 1440
Heavy 732 750 1512 1962

The effect and duration tissues will probably be the most desired, followed by filling. The quantity tissues may find a use in high-level drinks (provided the buff numbersever stabilize to a useful range), since the multiplier from the tissue stacks with the drink container's multiplier. And if you can provide them in4-5 identical crates (problematic with the meat/milk resource) you'll likely have chefs falling over themselves to buy them.

What about free additives for a profit split?

Trying to feel out the chefs here...

As far as when the additives can be made in the tree, look to the heavies at Tissues IV and master. Mediums at Tissue Engineering II and III and lights at Novice and Tissue Engineering I.

That would follow the current model for both food and cloth additives.

I'd go the cr/per resource method.

example: Intelligent Nanonutrients = 55 organic, 35 flora, 20 creature food = 110

so say 7cr/resource = 770 and19,000 crfor a crate of 25

That would make it easy for the Chef if they charge the same way. They just have to add in the resources used for the BE additive.

example: Breath of Heaven = 6 identical alcohols = 60 resources

15 oats, 15 rice = 30 resources

1 container = Large Glass = 100 resources

Intelligent Nanonutrients = 110 resources

at 8cr/resource = 300 resources= 2,400 and 60,000 cr for a crate of 25

The example is just that. The cr/per resource should change based on the level of the additive, factory time, and difficulty of finding the resources.

Using a barrel would really be a different story though. A barrel adds 300+ more resources (I don't know the control unit and power conditioner resource count). But that would be say 90 Boh base+110 for BE additive+350 (guess) for the barrel = 550 resources = 4,400 cr per and 110,000 per crate. Hmm I guess that will work out after all.

It all depends on the cr/per resource.

I , and from what Ive read, alot of other chefs, plan on just buying the tissue and adding it to the price of the food (plus the price for water and facotry time). But this is not what every chef plans either and it may be an option for a chef as well. Glad to see BEs taking an interest.

Alright I sorta understand this... What do I want to tell my BE to make if I want some light, medium and heavy Nutritional Enhancements?

As soon as I can get on after the patch I'll throw whatever resources I have into the heavy schematics and crank out 100 of each. I'll start the prices at 1000 per unit or 25K per crate. Then I'll post on the trade forums and see what happens. I don't how many Chefs we have on Radiant, but they should be very busy after the patch.

I know as a BE I'm very interested in the incap timer reduction food. That would save me so much time while sampling DNA, even if the food just reduces it to a quarter.

And the mask scent and damage reduction food would be great for BE's also

What are the rules of the light/medium/heavy additives? You have next to each item if it is light/medium/heavy, but what iam wondering is can I put a heavy additive in every item? Someone educate me on this.

Each schematic asks for a light, medium or heavy additive.

If it asks for a light additive, you can only use a light additive. If it asks for a medium you can use a light or medium additive and if it asks for a heavy you can use all three.

For a simple answer, no. Only master level and tier IV foods/drinks can use heavy/medium/light (you can only use one for each food). Tier II and III chef foods can use medium/light and artisan food/drinks and tier I chef foods/drinks can only take light additives.
