Well, it depends on what you're making. Each food and drink has a range of doses that you can get to based on the quantity experimentation. Travel Biscuits, for example, can get up to 10 doses if you get the experimental percentage up to 60%. Vasarian Brandy would need 100% quantity to get 10 doses with a small glass.

Now drink containers give you a multiplier to the base quantity. Large glasses give a 1.5x bonus, so a Brandy that starts with 6 doses now has 9. A brandy starting with 7 doses would have 10 (the extra 0.5 gets rounded down). Casks give a 3x bonus, so a 6-dose brandy becomes 18 dose.
