I was just wondering what you master chefs throught about having your own subordinate chef. Maybe someone like an assistant or apprentice. Basically, what they would do is mass produce for you what quality wouldn't matter on. Components such as dough, carbosyrup, and alcohol ( I'm new, please name more if you know them
) . Anyway, I wanted to be a chef ever since the start of the game, but I dropped it to pursue other goals when I found it to be mostly broken. Now that things are better I want to achieve my goal of being a master chef. I don't seek to grind. I just want to learn, and I was wondering if you master chefs out there thought it would be a good idea to have a person like me doing your grunt work while they learn the profession.

I'm guessing that most masters are selling 99% of their items in crates. This would mean the most a subordinate chef could do was make schematics of Soypro or Alcohol, which they wouldn't get XP for.
At least when I was an architect I could buy walls and generator turbines from up & coming architects. Nothing that can be purchased here.

Nice idea, but to me, personally, it's a time thing. I can make my own alcohol, swap it from the output hopper directly into the input hopper and I'm gtg. If I work with someone else, I have to empty my inventory, go fetch the stuff, come back, then make the new schematic and put it in the factory. I'm already using SO much time with tailors and BEs, I just don't think I could handle it. With the new factory times, it doesn't take too long to run the components. If it took time like Aludium (however it was spelled) did, that would be a different story. You might have better luck with someone who only has one factory at their disposal, tho.

Yeah, what I mean it as is more having somebody to make all your components for you and dropping them on your vendor so you can have more factories open to make the better more profitable food. That way lowerchefs trying to scale the trees could make some cash to keep going while the master chefsgeta cheap source of components. I didn't realize they sped up factories with components though. I made some alcohol the other day and it was just flying out so it prolly wouldnt be to helpful for the master anymore.

Evil Turkey, I've had the same thought. I just ran 3 runs of cups on my factory, any Chefs interested in buying?
My character is only going up to bartender, so she's perfect as a sous chef to make carbo syrups and dough, etc. for some of the other Masters and more filled out chef types on Chilastra.

Yeah, I'm just not cut out for big time cheffing yet. This just seemed like a good idea to help me get things started.

Ah, I was thinking this was intended as more of an xp source for the apprentice, and since you don't get uxp from factory crafted items (and I wouldn't care for hand-crafted components), I didn't expect it to go very far.
If credits is all you're looking for and if you deliver, come on by, vendor waypoints are in the sig.
How's 5cpu sound? I'll take crates of large glasses (especially since serial numbers don't matter for those), 12.5k per crate. Alcohol is another big need, but put the serial number in the name so I can tell the difference between the different runs. Hmm, that'd only be 1.2k per crate, maybe we'll bump that to 1.5k. I think I've still got a decent store of dough and carbosyrup, depending on how the vagnerian market goes I may take some of that too.
It's worth it to me just so I can free up a lot I was going to fill with an additional factory for components, plus reducing the time spent resource gathering (or gathering component resources). My demand might slow down as I get my vendor stock ramped up to my desired level, though. Or it might switch to something else.
Drop me an in-game mail, we can sort out details.

That sounds great. I already have a few crates of alcohol. I'll get to work on the large glasses too though. I'll drop a line to ya ingame so we can set things up and find out how much of everything I'm going to need to produce.
