Hello all. I'm a Master BE and a Master Tailor and was wanting to set up a Chef supply vendor. My questions concern pricing and what Chefs would be willing to pay. I already have the vendor up. It's in Nu'Maoi/Naboo/Eclipse. Im pricing crates of trim at 2k.. crates of the basic nutritional supplement are 5k for small, 10k for med, and 15k for large. Thats at 3-5 CPU. Any opinions on these prices would be appreciated. Also selling the Chef clothes..Hats 1k and aprons 3k. Do you all use lots of milk and eggs?

Yes, Milk is used in several recipes. Eggs are mostly used as a meat substitute but we do use them.

I could really use the imput here on my prices. I realize alot of Chefs have a certain disdain for BE and Tailors right now because of the dependence issue. I'm trying NOT to gouge you'all and in fact, am trying to make life a bit easier for you. I don't wanna get rich off of Chefs. I just want to contribute in a reasonable fashion. Any imput is appreciated.

The BE I have started working with on my server (Tarq) is charging me 25k per crate for medium additive, so your prices seem very reasonable to me.

I paid 50k per crate for the Broadspectrum stuff, +85 . Are there different types of medium food additives?

yes..there are small med and large of the supplements and small, med, and large of the enhancements. The Supplements improve the overall quality of the food while the enhancements improve particular qualities like flavor, mass, batch size, etc. The enhancements will undoubtably prove to be rare because of the resource costs, but the supplements like you bought will probably be the mainstay. the large I'm making is +114. This is without the optional secret schematic that the recipe can take. Unfortunately, no one seems to know what this is.

I think your prices are really reasonable.

But me personally, I would gather the resources to have a tailor and a BE to craft me the schematic directly

I would probably charge a little more, because those resources are hard to come by. Maybe 5-6cpu, even.

Fancy seeing you post over on these forums buddy

Your prices are great. I would be very glad to find you.

As far as the schematics vs crates issue goes --I totally, completelyprefer crates. I have way too many runs of my owncomponents to worry about already, and that is my least favorite part of being a chef. Finding a stable (and affordable) provider of goods would be a delight.

Best wishes!

Im currently split between producing the BE tissues myself and buying them. The BE I buy from has just put up his prices to 33k for the light, 43k for the medium and 53k for the heavy.

Interestingly, his wife / girlfriend keeps sending me tells to keep buying from him as im making him an ingame multi-millionnaire... which I find a *litte* disconcerting.

Anyway, that aside, your prices look good. I cant really comment much about the trim as I make my own so have no clue how much competitors would be charging.

Kind Regards,

Dont be greedy, keep buying the BE tissue. In turn you are becoming richer faster as well thanks to your BE. I offer what I feel are generous offers to my BE, and if things get tough, Ill gladly bump up my buying price. I know Ill make my money back and then some. No need to be stingy. Also what I look for from a BE is quantity. I dont want to buy one or two crates of trim/BE tissue if it is possible to buy say 20-40 crates. Try to sell in bigger lots (if you are not already doing so). Especially with the trim, the BE addtitives Id buy in 5-6 crate groups. Anyways good luck and hell of a set up you got there. I migh suggest going master artisan and getting the materials needed to make barrels for when they are fixed. I have a feeling casks will either be completely non existent, or become the new small glass. Good luck.

Im not being greedy, I buy from this particular BE because he is reliable and I know there will be stock on his vendor when I get there. I can make my own tissues but not be able to keep up.

Whilever he continues to have the large amouts on his vendor that he does, I'll buy him out

I do still find it amusing that i get tells from his wife / girlfriend
