Did some tests, maybe someone will be intrested in how this works.

Used Synthsteak with 23 stomach, 21% damage reduction, 35 atacks.

Tested with and without armor, just to understand better.

Here is how it works:

No armor:

Victor hits you for 338 points of damage.

93 damage WAS MITIGATED by defensive buffs.

Floating above head..... 338 damage.

With armor:

Victor hits you for 258 points of damage.

Your kinetic armor prevented 231 points of damage.

68 damage was mitigated by defensive buffs.

Floating above head .....27 damage.

Someone else tested this and was wondering how he prevented more than the hit, but that is not true.

If you look above, it shows that now the combat log doesnt tell the base atack anymore, but the damage AFTER was prevented by the food.

So we can use this, will not stack with armor, meaning 20% food with 80% armor wont make you invincible, but that the food prevents 20% of the damage before goes to armor.

Hope this clears the way this food works.

Oh, btw, has a timer of 1 hour, no matter if the filling is 23 and the stomach empties, acts just like any other buff. The bad thing is , even if it has a 23 filling, you cant take more than one at the time. The good thing is, once those 35 hits are gone, the buff is gone and you can take another one, imediatly, if you have the stomach for it.

So what did Victor's combat spam say was the damage he did (this looks like you tested in a duel)? Was it the 338/258 that showed up in yours or the 431/326 you get adding the "hits you for x" + the mitigation? And did he get a note saying that his attack damage was being mitigated by buffs? That might make things a little too obvious to your opponent if they can tell why you're taking less damage than normal.

Since it looks like the reduction is being done before you're told how much you're hit for, I wonder if we can request that the mitigation line can be put before the "you were hit for..." line, just to reduce confusion.

I noticed the same thing with the filling/stacking over the past 2 days. Also, you can't stack Flameout and Synthsteak. So what I'm gonna be focusing on for PvP (to see how well it works) is to pop a high resist Flameout during the downtime to help take the initial and sometimes surprise hit or 3 and then popping a synthsteak once that wears off for the duration of the fight. Just have to keep an eye on the buff window among all the other things i'm doing.

(not a chef, just a non-armored wookie trying to get by)

Im gonna test again to see what the attacker's combat log says. Also i noticed that this food or the drink, are kinda useless if you use armor, and here is why:

Lets say you get hit for 1000 damage. No armor , the food mitigates 200 damage. But, if you wear armor , here is what will happen.

1000 damage, food mitigates 200. 800 goes to an 80% kinetic armor, witch prevents 640. so you only take 160 damage. But using no food, just armor, from 1000 damage, armor will prevent 800 , and you will only take 200 damage.

Food+armor------------you take 160 damage out of 1000

Just armor -------------you take 200 damage out of 1000

So the diference will be 40 more damage with food, thats only 4%, not worth using it. But not everyone using armor, so will come handy for some .
