Was looking for a chef apron, but the schematic I had was a medicine apron. So I tried to put it on anyway. Nope, Wookiees can't wear the new uber apparel. Nothing in the clothing description saying I have to be a med or doc either(even though I still have Half the Doc tree). Thank you again Devs.

Jihadic is talking about the "crafter's apron", which is a lootable schematic (also available at some point from doing Jabba's palace). It takes a crafting tool as a component, and depending on what tool is used, you get +5 to assembly and experimentation for a particular crafting profession: an Armor/Clothing tool is probably always +Armor (since tailors don't get experimentation), Food/Chem is either chef or medic assembly/experimentation, and a Weapon/Droid/General tool is weaponsmith andmaybe artisan (DE's have a bandolier, but it requires a droid customization kit which isn't craftable anymore...).

That truly sucks.

Aye, sciguy, that is it exactly. I was actually wearing the 'normal' chef apparel. When I tried to put on the medical apron, I get my normal apron removed, but it doesn't equip the 'specialised' apron and says "Cannot equip item" :/

Um. What part of "wookies don't get to wear clothes" did you miss from the starting description of wookies? That's the nature of the beast..er, wookie..er, same difference. Just like combat wooks don't get all the cool armor attachments, so non-combat wooks don't get the cool constructions attachments.

Exactly, read the books, it is against wookiees beliefs to wear clothes. So don't complain, you are the one that made a wookiee, knowing that can't wear clothes, so you can't complain about it, they would be screwing up this "following star wars history" thing if they let wookiees wear clothes.

So those wookie arm wraps, grand healers robes, regular chef's aprons, etc are somehow "sanctioned" by the wookie culture police, but crafter's aprons aren't? I don't think it's unreasonable to be dissapointed when a wookie can wear a regular apron but not a crafter's apron with the enhancements.

Besides, SOE has been taking a bit of liberties with the "star wars history" anyway.

Perhaps you guys haven't ever cooked in real life - and definitely not over a hot grill....

Grease spatters, pops, and flies all over the kitchen. During rush hour, it gets dangerous. No, I'm not talking about that McDonalds crap... I'm talking about a short order family style sit-down restaurant. And a Wookiee wouldn't wear protection? Are you nuts? OSHA's considered placing a mandate before Congress to enforce the use of safety goggles in some kitchens.

Wookiees aren't THAT religious about clothes - they donned "gear" if it helped them perform certain functions safely. (Remember Chewbacca carrying around the Bandolier)

Wookiees ARE religious about clothes, read some of the Kashyyk books. Also, wookiees have fur for protection and this is not real life this is star wars life in a video game, it's called role playing. Also I personally do not think wookiees should be allowed to wear clothes at all, seeing as in the books the only things they did wear were bandoliers, and hoods.

Couldnt they have at least given wooks a smock or something for the apron? I know that wookiees are "so uber super duper" because they have "all of that" extra HAM and all, but i dont think they should be screwed out of crafting bonuses just because they're a little different and smell funny and probably eat small children while nobody's looking.

And as far as roleplaying goes, thats no excuse for a lack of anything worth a poo for wookiees.

If you are going to roleplay a wookiee, then you have to take everything that comes along with it, including not being able to wear certain things. Just like a lot of the clothes, if you want to wear them, choose a female. I deleted my master CH / commando just cause I Was tired of not being able to wear a lot of clothes, so changed him to a her. Just things you have to think about when you are making your characters. It's just like trandoshans can't wear boots or gloves, just a fact of star wars life.
