Elite profession trainers are now in, meaning all of chef is open to us. I'll be starting my grind when i get ingame, tomorrow i will open a issues thread for people to post in so i can get specific issues (lets hope there are none) notified.
As of yet no skills are on the frogs, but resources are. So we will have to regrind, but it should take long, especially with the new entertainer inspiration buffs.
If anyone needs me mail on TC5, my name is Higgins.
See you on there kids.

Can't get in for another couple hours, have you seen whether food is coming out with stats displayed yet? Or are we still stuck with the "eat the food and check the mouse-over info on the buff icon" method?
Sciguy on TC5 if Higgins needs any backup.

I'm probably going to get the next couple engineering boxes to grind harvesters. It's a sidetrack, but that 445 xp per combine is calling to me. Plus, it'll give me more experimentation points to play with the artisan foods. It's too bad they moved the bone armor schems to armorsmith, those were always good for xp at Eng 2 (especially since we can get stacks of bone from the frogs).
Current plan:
Survey tools -> Eng 1 (already done)-> crafting tools -> Eng 3 -> Harvesters -> World domination.
And if you want to try something different, try the "contractor" in one of the training halls, I think he's either in the "commerce" one or the "university" one. Make x number of items for him, and you get credits and a crafting xp reward equal to 50% of what you got making the items. Not quite as consistent as practice grinding on the same item, but possibly faster.

Well i got to novice chef before the server shutdown. Igot chef mastered in about 4 hours last time (which was over a year ago now) so i may be master by the end of the day if all goes well.

Last time I mastered chef it wasn't 4 hours that is for sure. I think it was a 2 day grind. I am wondering if it is worth grinding or best just to wait for the frogs to give out those skills, which they should have done from the start.

Well we don't know when they plan to put the skills on the frogs, so i'm not taking my chances and leveling now.
When the server will come back up that is.

That is part of the problem, only so many hours per day to grind on TC, it may take a few days to get master. Might be able to by the end of the weekend, might. Then week the frogs could be handing out the skills. I think I can find better things to do than to click buttons needlessly. I wished they had actually organized this testing better.

Well they are giving may 5th as the release date eh? Looks like they have alot of work to do unless they just put out buggy work again... And they want people to grind through these pros..thats the whole reason the frogs arent fully functional. Im glad someone out there is willing to put some time in for this testing. I know Im not doing it

Higgins, any chance you could gently persuade the Devs to put the Chef skills on the frogs? Grinding a whole elite crafting profession to enable us to test is a little silly IMO. After all, this is a Combat test, not crafting.
Assuming this isn't possible, I should be able to grind out Artisan & Chef tonight if the server is up when I get home from work....
I pulled all the best resources for the most common foods from the frog yesterday, including those for additives, but I'm certainly not going to have time to grind out BE if they don't put that on the frogs
Anywho, do we have a plan on what we want to test exactly and which stats to contribute for our new knowledgebase?

I was wondering if theres any way to determine the quality of resources on the frogs...I had played around and pulled some out, but I couldn't find any with good stats. Am I missing something?

well, the armorsmith's persuaded the DEV's to put a blue frog into the Armorsmtith Test House, maybe you can do the same and get skills on it for chef as well

Pappi has a frog in her test city too, but it doesn't have any more options than the other frogs in the NPC cities.
