Just wanted to say 'thank you' to all the chefs before the CU kills you. While your prices were always outrageous, they were ultimately all worth it. Vasarian, Ahrisa, Synthesteak, Pikatta Pie, all of them delicious and all helped me change my game from the day you got your long overdue publish. I, for one, will be very angry and disaapointed if the CURB nerfs you into oblivion.

Hmm don't worry..

We have all been looking at this too and are a bit worried but I'm sure we will just have to work on something else "be a bit more creative"..

Some of the lesser known foods may be the popular ones post CU...

No, my compliment was sincere. The Ahrisa I bought from chefs helped me survive as a Master Swordsman. The prices I paid for crates of the stuff were high - sometimes 200,000c. However, I believe that the time involved in experimentation, production, ingredient costs (especially the BE materials) justified that high cost. However, for me, they were expensive but I managed to get the money somehow. I believe the CURB will drastically downgrade the importance of chefs and their products so, before that happens, I just wished to express my thanks.

I am going to step out of character here for a moment, so for those that know me, please avert your eyes.

Ok....you can call this what you like, but you arent fooling anyone. You are obviously very upset about the CU changes, considering you have spent the better part of the last several days posting about it in several different forums. While I appreciate you "sincere" thanks, your post is baiting and basic amateur yellow journalism meant to stir up fear and anger to justify your own. It is very rare that I endeavor to call someone on their BS, but I am doing it...now...to you. Stating that the CU will "kill us" and "nerf us into oblivion" is not only demonstrative of your amazing lack of information, but is also very clear language meant to inflame more and more people over a change that you have ranted and raged against in the forums for days now. You have posted for several days straight about how the CU is a bad thing in the Jedi, GCW, and Testcenter forums. I respect your concerns, and I even share them to a certain degree, but this is a farce.

I am glad to hear that the Chefs on your server have helped you out with their fine food, and I am sure they appreciate your patronage. But please, if you have an axe to grind about the CU, take it to the In-concept or Test Centerforums where it belongs. Your personal aggravation with aspects-as-yet-unknown about the CU.... which you masquerade as a "thank you" to us.... are NOT welcome here. At least, not by me.

We are all uncertain about the CU changes. Overall, however, the Chef community has been a bit more patient and thoughtful about the possibilities for us in this new system. And since it is quite obvious that you do not posess any more information about the future of our profession than we already have, your predictions are unfounded and alarmist. Yes, we have reason to be concerned. But unlike many of the other profession forums, we have not degraded into a "sky is falling" mentality. Life will go on for us, and the fact that we have such spectacular community and correspondent support gives us a great deal of confidence that even IF the changes fair poorly for us in the long run, they can be rectified and repaired. They were before, as you stated yourself.

I don't think the CURB will kill Chefs, in fact I think it will make them even stronger. But as a participant in pre-CURB combat since launch, I too want to say thanks to all the Chefs. Because ever since the Chef revamp, you've made combat fun!

Many people never bother to find out, but with Chef foods you can do without doctor buffs and composite. You can juggle defenses, use spice more safely, in other words make all sorts of TACTICAL decisions that make combat much more exciting than spamming specials while invulnerable. With a set of food crates I can go weeks on Dathomir without returning to a starport.

So a big thanks to everyone who took up Chef and did the work to make these great food buffs available.

Thanks.

We aren't sure fully but I think Synth and Pikatta will remain staples though their effects might be lessoned. Vasarian and Ahrisa I'm not sure about, there will be no double dipping of food/drinks, in other words no 2 sips of brandy, if chef food/drinks work as artisan food/drink does on TC-5 Now. While this might increase the number of foods used, it probably won't. What it means is much slower sales.

We have a hell of a Chef as our corr.We have at least a dozen fantastic, intelligentchefs who actively post on the forums. If the CU doesn't treat us so well at first, I have every confidence we'll be in good shape eventually... or at least those of us who are willing to work at it and stick it out will be in good shape.

I don't care, there will always be something to cook, and people gonna pay for it, and I'm thinking about a negative CU so....you all non chefs just pray you don't get food addicts if they put foods too good

Yeah I know, I have to wash out my stock, but hey, chefs gonna start over figuring out what's cool and what's not, better than falling asleep experimenting my brandy

The CU just means that us Chefs will have to work at diversifying our stocks. Those chefs who only stock Brandy, Canape and Ahrisa now will have to branch out. Snow Cake, Steak, Pik Pie and others will become big sellers. I'm looking forward to this (I'll not kid you though...there is some trepidation). The sooner the change is made, the better....let us get on with serving up the best food that galaxy has to offer.
