Supposedly it's only a bonus to assembly,but as far as I know you can never have too much success at crafting 
Port will still be as helpful as ever for getting an all-amazing schematic.

If anything this makes port more useful, as if it effects experimentation then using port will pretty much guarntee you a amazing success, in a research centre of course.

An Inspiration Buff will be the replacement for Mind Buffing for Entertainers post Combat Upgrade. Players will have improved XP (experience) gains, improved faction point gains, and increased crafting successes. An Inspiration Buff will be applied in a similar method to the current application. The only change is that to both the entertainer and player the process will be transparent. No action is required from either other than listening or watching the entertainer and the entertainer to dance or play. This is to provide a simple and easy system for both involved. don't know how much of an increase it will be, but I wont be inclined to buy the chef foods, if this works fine

Inspiration buffs will be nice if you have your buffdancer right next to you to craft every time you feel like making a schem. If not, the convenience of having food that helps you on the spot will still be something important.
Sure you can always make yourself a buffbot to have on call but that is not an option for everyone and by the same token you can also make yourself a chef, I dont feel that this will affect foods too much, pyollian is not a big seller regardless and if musician/dancer buffs dont have an effect on experimentation Port will still be a staple and I will be able to stop wasting resources and tissue on pyollian.
