I have really struggled with finding any steel and have been actually using resource deeds so that I can keep Elshandruu in stock. After 3 weeks of checking every planet we finally have a spawn. OQ is in the 500's and DR is in the 700's, so I decided to test it out before mass harvesting. I don't have the exact stats on the steel was using but OQ was in the 900's and not sure DR (will post exact stats when I get home from work) and what I found really surprised me, using the exact same resources (except steel of course) I only lost +2 range def bonus and actually gained over a min of duration

For hides you need to look for OQ first then SR/DR.
For Neutronium look first at DR then at OQ in that order, this also applies to radioactive.

Radioactive has PE on it too, so watch that... but I'm just using about 400oq Neutronium steel and can make 95 Ranged Defense Thundercloud, so you don't need really high stats.

Really? I'm using 997 OQ steel and mine is 98, doesn't seem right to me.

pica thunder calculates the power from oq/dr, not oq/pe... the pe stat on the radioactive isn't actually used for anything in pica thunder i don't think.

For Pica Thundercloud nutritional calculations are 66% DR and 33% OQ. So to get high valuse the most important stat out of the two you need to watch out for is DR. This also applies to the Radioactive you use.
PE in radioactive does not count when it comes to Thundercloud.

Exactly. Whenever a food takes a metal or some other non-organic, OQ/DR are usually the nutritional stats.
