Thread: Mando Wine buggy?

I've noticed when I make mando wine that the number of uses after the assembly stage always has 15% experimental potential and if i don't put any points into it, the final product has only 3 uses. If I put one point into number of uses the final product then has 6 uses. If i max out this line of experimentation it still has 6 uses.

so 15% = 3 uses, 22% = 6 uses 79% = 6 uses.

surely this isn't right, Mando wine in my mind is essentially exactly the same as Breathe of heaven in every other way yet BoH doesn't behave in this way regarding number of uses.

so my question, is this a bug? or working as intended?

It kinda sucks I have to waste an xp point on number of uses to bring it up to a level at which I don't feel like a thief selling it.

Well the key difference is Mando Wine buffs +200 mind and +50 health regen... BoH buffs reverse at+200 health regen and +50 Mind... all depends what you are looking for. As far as the uses - I don't have that problem. My Mando Wine comes out 6 use with no exp points put into that line at all - might want to check your resources to see which one(s) might be causing that low number.

Ok i worded that badly, i meant that the weightings and the way the stuff behaves in the crafting proccess is exactly the same for BoH and Mando wine, for the same resources and the same experimentation they would come out with the same stats except that health and mind regen woul be reversed.

Its good to hear that you hit 6 uses without losing a point as I am, I guess i need to raise my PE.

I've been crafting my mando for 33 fill, 10 mins, as in my mind all that spare stomache space for other foods is far more beneficial to an extra 250 or so health bonus. So I have been focusing on high FL/DR and OQ resources and letting PE take less precident, I imagine that this is where my problem lies.

what your not understanding is people buy the mando wine/boh for the high health bonus. Who cares about 199 whatever the base is on mando wine they can use caf with is 5 times longer and like 10 fill. Mandowine / boh = emergency food when you need that little bit of extra ham to live.

i've gotta disagree, You talking about an extra 250 health, at the expense of something potentially much more beneficial, like 2 instant heals within a few seconds of each other using ruby bliel at filling 12. That in effect, with the right insta stim is as much as 3k extra health....

Think about it

Mando wine is not a drink you just pop anymore. I consider it a emergency food. If you aren't going for the health bonus then your just poping a overpriced kanali wafer/caf. If you exp on filling you won't see much higher than high 190. Both of which you get from caf and kanaliwafers. The regen everyone should know is spiced tea blop candy and bofa treats. Only thing mando wine does better is bumps up the regen by like 10-20 and gives you a huge health bonus. So your argument is flawed by saying filling is more important there is no point to even take it for a extra 10-30 health.

What im getting at all the bonuses you get from it are the same as the artisan foods but with longer durations the only thing that is better is the actual health bonus. Sure a couple ruby biels might help you in a 1 on 1. But if your in Large scale battle and they want you dead that extra 300-400 health can make or break you inbetween heals.

The artisan foods have they're place, no doubt, but compared to a stack of mando wine with won -won for this buff -

+440 health, +250 health regen +250 action regen +200 mind regen, for 33 food and drink fill and a 10 mins duration on both, its just not comparable.

Artisan foods are ok for grinding, but this high level, repeatable buff I wouldn't not be without for the kind of playing I do.

The fast that artisan foods can't be stacked with chef foods, and the low total buff they give in comparaison rules them out for anything other than grinding or casual pve imo.

Wouldn't a kanali wafer be better to use than a won won. And only use the mando wine as needed? You lose out on the extra stomach fill if you use the won won and Mando. Synsteak / Protein wafers are still short timers but there are places to use it.

If I'm understanding your quantity question correctly here is what is probably happening and Iassume you are using casks.

Without casks and with a small glass the quantity probably starts at 1 until you get the quantity value above ~20, so your 15 sets you to qty=1 with no drink modifier.

Modifiers

Small Glass = 1

Large Glass = 2

Cask = 3

So your 1 x 3 modifier yields 3 quantity.

And 2(with ~20) x 3 modifier yields 6 quantity.

This is just like BoH. I have never tried to max out quantity to see if it goes beyond base of 2, but it might go to 3 which would give you 9 quantity doses with casks.

I have to agree with STLpMpNu, I sell both a Power version and a Filling version of mando wine and the High Power sellsWAY more than the Low Filling
