I was browsing the stats on the post CU food and I see that the Pie gives you a +54 Dodge with a 27 fill for about 24 minutes. The Cake gives you a +37 Dodge with an 11 fill for 18 minutes.
I guess what I am wondering is - why would anyone buy the Pie over the Cake? You can eat three pieces of Pie before you're full of it (27x3=81) for a total Dodge mod of +162. But you can eat nine Cakes for a fill of 99 and a Dodge mod of +333.
Am I right on this? Or do the mods not stack that high? Or do they not stack at all post-CU?
I'm only curious becuase I'm told that you need to boost your Dodge mod (and Burst Running) as much as possible if you want to try and solo the Corvette.
Any info would be appreciated.

They dont stack.
The differance between Pikatta and Air cake boils down to one thing: Filling managment. If you really want to get the power of foods you need to plan on what to use ahead of time. Create a "template" for yourself of foods that you will always use. And then pick your emergency foods. Depending on how you do the former you may only have room to sqeeze in Pikatta or Air cake.
I keep both stocked because everyone is differant.

Pikatta and air cake have never been able to be stacked upon themselves. Supposedly, these are both only very good if your defenses are already high, and Master Defender jedi benefit a lot from using pikatta, but those extra percentage points of dodge are better from the standoint of "every little bit helps".

OK, pie can't stack on cake or vice versa. But can cake stack on cake, or pie stack on pie?
I'm just confused because I used to stack two Brandies on top of each other all the timepre-CU. Did they change it so you can't stack of the same food?

Yup, it was changed. Now, whatever Food has the highest mod, cancels the lower one out. IE: your on a cake and take a pie, the cake mods are cancelled and your pie is the only Mod you are running on.

No you can only have one instance of the effect from any one type of food or drink.

But you could never stack pie on pie or cake on cake. That's not a recent development.

No you can only have one instance of the effect from any one type of food or drink.
Its alittle mopre complex than that, You can stack some foods for example canape + breathe of heaven. What you can't do is stack any regen stats higher than 250. nor can you eat 2 foods from the same group eg, 2 desserts that both give ham buffs.
But this is alittle off subject as we're talking about defensive buffs not ham buffs... oops.

He means from the same food. I.E you never could take 2 pikatta pies.
The no stacking of the same stat on multiple HAM buffing Foods is a new one. But the stat buffs like Pikatta pie and Air Cake or Exo Protein and Synthsteak have never been able to stack.
