Thread: Just curious, what proffesions do you guys compliment Chef with?

and why?

I want Master Chef...but am not sure what other proffesion would benefit it most. I've heard some say BE...but I would only be interested in the food enhancement line...none of the animal cloning stuff...so I don't want MBE.

What did you guys finish out your crafting template with?

Any tips/suggestionson thisa crafting n00b? lol

thx in advance!

MBE for the tissues or Tailor for the Trim. Also tailor is quite easy, doesn't require quality resources and you get your tissues from BE's.

I made PvP 32 socket 8 piece suits with +64 Melee/Ranged Defence and they didn't half sell! Only thing is despite the +64 you only got 25 even tho it chows up on character sheet as +64 and since Pub 18 the tissues have been bugged.

I wanted to be Chef / Ranger, but it just takes too many skil points without having to drop some engineering or business line in artisan. Ranger takes 140 points to master, while BH and many other more powerful professions take 121. That just doesn't seem right to me. Oh well better take my whining to the ranger forums.

MChef / MBE would probably be the easiest for mass food production. You cnn buy Trim off the market for pretty cheap compared to BE goods, or make a few contacts and have tailors run trim in your factories.

Personally I think I am going MChef / MMerchant, will have to drop 1/2 of scout

Trim is what you need to make cask.

Cask is what you need to make all the drinks have the highest number of use.

Is trim cheaper, or more expensive then BE components?

Far cheaper, I pay 100k/run of trim. It can be made with grind quality materials, requiring 20k of fiberplast, 5k of polymer I believe.

im chef/BE and one of my mates has a tailor alt, so i get him to make trim schematics for me and run em in my factory. Also i have a ranger/rifleman so i harvest my own meat. I dont buy anything except maybe grinding quality resources for components. 100% pure profit!

I have 2 chefs. One is Master Tailor/Master Merchant as well and the other is x4x4 BE which is just as well as my 2nd successive long term BE has decided to quit. Just need to grind The rest of BE so I can make my own tho the reason why I have always bought mine is down to time more than cost.

I have found that to mass produce and with the amount of time I have available to just buy them.

yeah it takes me awhile to put everything together. Plus the extra factories to make the BE tissues

My Character is:

Master Merchant / Master Chef / Master Artisan / Tailor 0/0/1/0 / Scout 2/0/0/0 / Novice Entertainer

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Master Merchant : I keep a well stocked vendor with 7-10 pages of crated foods at all times and a storage vendor with chef components ready for crafting so the Master Merchant is needed for the vendor space.

Master Chef : My passion and money-maker

Master Artisan : Wanted to make crated swoops for everyone and then found out the artisan foods and drinks are some of the best sellers.

Tailor 0/0/1/0 : To make trim for my casks

Scout 2/0/0/0 : Had some skill points left over and tried out some combat skills but just not enough to let me kill even the smallest of animals surrounding my factories. The mask scent is a life saver as I run a looping macro and can now walk right next to the same creatures and access my factories with little problems. Should have done this a long time ago.

Novice Entertainer : I can perform in a house and give myself the inspiration buff regardless if anyone is watching. I do it in my vendor house so customers can watch and heal theirBF while they shop.
