Thread: more about fixing the broken stacks

Someone posted that you can fix a broken stack of food by setting it down in a house, targeting it and then typing /eat. This works, you eat one, and then the stack works as it is supposed to. If you do this when you are full, you don't eat one, you get the 'you will burst' message, but the stack still gets fixed.

I tried this with 6 broken stacks of Ryshcate, the first stack I fixed and ate till I was full, the other 5 I set down, and when I targeted them and typed /eat, I got the full message. I waited until I was no longer full and was able to eat from each stack normaly in inventory, hope this helps.

I've heard that this fixes them permanently and I've heard that this only fixes them until they get broken again (by logging, dying, zoning, whatever). I'm curious as to what the truth of this is.

Hi chef-people

I tend to carry a number of vercuptis and sunburns around with me when I explore, and, indeed, i couldn't eat anything that was in my general inventory.

I WAS, however, able to eat anything in my worn backpack. Seems a better workaround than going into a house to eat things. Hope this can help y'all.

Yeah, a fix where I can drink sunburns in my house is useless. And I too have tons of them in my backpack that do not work.

Well, the semi-usefulness of that 'fix' is that if you end up near your house, you can fix ALL your currently broken stacks. What is not known is if they stay fixed, or if they will just end up breaking down again later.

You only have to be in your house to fix the stack. Once it is fixed, you can put it back in your inv. and go on your merry way.

Hrmm, took em out and put em back in? Honest, it seemed to work with my food and I also encountered a similar bug with the new stacked seeker droids. Plonked em into my equipped pack and all was fixed. Mebbe it's just me? *cringe*
