Hi,

I am a pretty new Chef and i am so disappointed by the system... i have managed to get to Master Artisan, Novice Chef and suddenly, the best progression i could make is 30xp for a cookie when yoiu have 32000 xp to do to reach one level of your profession. I asked a Master Chef i have seen in Dearic and he answered : oh i have grown using Factory. I have tried and seen nothing.

Second disappointment, cooking are almost useless... i have tried to talk to many players and food is almost the last thing they check to get buffs and so. They even prefer the Spice perks from smugglers. I am also novice Tailor but XP, even if less than great is better than Chef one.

What is the plan from Dev on this, shall i head for a different profession ? I have been crafter on almost all MMORPG since UO, SWG craft is so far the best system i have seen by the XP scale and the utility of some professions need severely to be explained or at least demonstrated by dev.

I am ready to listen to any suggestion that players or dev can give me.

First off, Wastril Bread gets you 70xp per generation, so you only need to make half as many items as you thought before! Leveling by factory is an old bug that's been long fixed. If it worked properly, you only get 10% of the xp that you would by hand grinding.

Your post just like many novice chefs on the boards when they start out (exactly like them, in fact). Grind to mixII and your life gets easier with the best grinding item (mist) and best sales item (sunburn). The rest of it comes down to your love of food in the system. It doesn't work very nice right now, but you should have seen it before when we couldn't use factories at all, we could only use personal farms, and everyone thought we were nuts to sell stuff that no one needed. Yep, looking back, chef is awesome now!
