Doctors getting the best buffs in the game - 14 points

Smugglers getting the best consumable buffs in the game - 14 points

Chefs spending 63 points to get crapola no onewants - Priceless

I like the above better. Seriously though, what do you expect to accomplish with that sig?

Actually a Doctor leads two lines to do full buffs. crafting and knowledge.
and they need 96000 crafting xp at usually 200 per crafted item.
The best way I found to get the xp is practice an advanced componet for 84xp each.
They take lok wild wheat and tatoonie fiberplast. The lok wheat is pretty tough to get, as everything on that planet is hostile.
You could probably do the buffs with just the crafting line. But the expermintation on the packs is broken. I tried a b pack and the skill went from 55 to 60 with one good success. it actually made it harder to use.

Youser, I just looked at chefs line. Lots of xp per box. What do you get for crafting a peice of food?

Also you have mind boosts, which the doc. line doesn't.

When you hit Novice Chef, the most XP you get from any item is 73 (Wastril Bread in practice mode). After ~440 of those, you get Entrees I, which gives you Stewed Gwouch at 105 XP a pop in practice mode. After ~850 of those, you get Mixology II, which gets you Ithorian Mists. These are (IIRC) 142 a pop with practice mode. 4000 or so of these later, you get Master Chef.

Where do you get the 63 skill pointsfrom? Are you just counting the chef boxes? You need to include all the food and drink making skills.

Novice artisan is 15.

Domestic arts is 14. This also grants some clothe making abilities, but I can function without them. I made myself one backpack the first week of the game and have never made anything but food with the skills since.

All Chef boxes are 63.

Engineering is 14. This is needed so you can get the experiment points for dough and carbosyrup which areused inmaster chef items. You can also make some personal harvesters, butany serious crafter will have medium and large harvesters. Mainly used for food experimenting.

106 skill points dedicated to making food and drinks that buff and 859,400 XP grinding to do so. This grind is not fun, quick, easy, or cheap to do and is done by making thousands of useless items just like every othercrafting profession. But we aren't comparing crafting classes. We're comparing the buffing classes so it does come into play.

Your doctor numbersare off too. They will need the novice and master of both medic and doctor along with the medical use and crafting lines in each tree and107,150 crafting grind. XP gotten when also crafting healing and wound packs for everyday use.

The total being 84 involved in making and using buffs and the medical use linesare also usefull when combined with other skill lines in the trees.

Smuggler spices need a puny 20 skill points and only needs 56,000 crafting XP. Most of it can be gotten from grinding out items in practice mode in a single day.

So in the end I just have to wonder why at Mixology 3 I can make an item comparable to a **edit** Bofa Treat (novice artisan)and why smugglers are complainingabout competing with chefs.

Duh, it's our sole duty in the game and we have many more skill points, XP, time, and creditsdedicated togetting the best chef items. We SHOULD be the best. If someone thinks "I want to be able to buff myself" they should instantly think of trying to contact a chef.
