Thread: ow much do chef assembly CAs usually sell for per point?
I know armorsmiths and weaponsmiths use componets that cost millions of credits and are rare..
Now a Chef can just dump the prototype if he/she so may wish.. I dont think i have ever had a problem trying to get amazing on the prototype (3-4 combines) Someone explain this to me?
Assembly really has no use for us chefs, it makes no difference to the final product, and crit failing doesn't mean anything at except you have to reload your items.

True, but the point I think Higginsis was implying is that amazing success gives food no benefit compared to a great success. The starting percentages and stats are the same for both, and as far as people's testing has been able to tell, the max percentages are the same with great or amazing.
So the only benefit that chefs get from assembly is a reduced chance ofa non-great success (good, moderate, poor, etc do give lower starting percentages). Since we don't deal with looted components (well, not yet, the BE's secret research data has yet to be included in the game), and even the additives aren't that big of a deal to "use up" re-doing a schematic, I doubt there's any reason to spend credits on it unless you have a big bank balance crying out to be spent.
And if you happen to have a big bank balance crying out to be spent on Chilastra, "/tip Kriles 10000000 bank" is a much better use. ![]()

Maybe im misunderstanding...but are you saying that when you craft, you get no difference in the finished product even if you get amazing's or greats? I personally get a different result if i get 3 amazings on brandy, or 3 greats.
But if you are saying...the initial assembly role, before experimenting...then yeah i agree.
