Thread: A couple of questions (I've read the Chef FAQS)

Lo mates,i got to say that i've learn some things by reading this threads and faqs, i'm doing chef btw and i'm also collecting and harvesting resources cos i dont want to reach Master without having some good stuff. I'm really enjoying.
I have some quick questions, for egwhen u guys say a +12 chef what does this means? Having +12 exp points in tapes/suit, etc? I've been told also that +10 exp points gives u 1 extra point in exp, if this is true then why +12 is better than +10?
Another thing is about BE tissues. Correct me if im wrong but from what i understand, the BE's make the tissues but then it is us who make them into components from the tissues right? And whats that INN's and BSN's stuff?
I'm sorry but this is a bit confusing to me yet, i've read all the FAQS (very good ones) but this is one of the things that i dont really understand.

I've just started chef as well, the experimentation was confusing to me at first too.
A master chef without any tapes has 10 experimentation points.
with tapes you can to upto +20 experimentation, which will give you 2 extra experimentation points.
you can use these points to boost the stats on the food or drink you are crafting, for example:
your brandy before experimenting would be:
+312
39 min
49 filling
18 quantity
you can use 7 points on the power, with a great succes this would make it about 390
then use the remaining 3 points on duration which would make it 44 min
and if you have tapes and 12 points, you could put in another 2 points into power or duration to make it even better 
about the BE tissues, your correct, they are needed for crafting the additive itself, for example:
in a medium additive you need 20 water (I think 
) and a BSN
) and a BSNand (I think ) INN's are used in small additives
) INN's are used in small additives

Every crafter has the same question about how tapes work and every chef when starting out wonders what an additive is and how it works

IF you get +10 in xp tapes that will give you 1 more point to experiment with. At master you have 10 points to start with so you need +20 in tapes to get the +2 points to work with when crafting.

A BE will give( sell )you tissues you need to run them in a factory to make them into additives. A BSN stands for broad spectrum nutrient. Thats a medium nutrition additive and will add to the nutrition line of experimenting.In the faq you'll find a link to a list of foods in the list it will show you what the max size additive you can add to it and at the bottom of the list it has all the BE tissues BEs make for us.

Thanks mates, i need to be honest all this is very confusing at first sight as i said but i just love it
I'm not a Master yet but i've manage to get +5 in tapes and with the appron ill be having +10 for now
I'm guessing that you all are working with +20 right? It's pretty expensive to buy good tapes in my server

You need +20 chef exp points for the +12 lol.
Confusing but you soon get the hang of it, and farstar isn't that bad for chef tapes mate, we're only about 1 mill a point, some servers are 3 mill a point.
