Thread: What should I expect to pay for 112 INN's and 81 BSN's?

I spoke with a BE who told me that he could make me 116's and 86's and now that I'm looking at the finished product, they're not even close with the INN's at 112 and the BSN's being 81's. He was charging 30k a crate for each type, and that, I suppose, would have been fine if the tissues had the stats that we'd discussed, but since they're not and I wasn't told otherwise, what should I expect to pay for these sub-par tissues? I don't want my first batches of food EVER to come out poorly because of the quality of the additives, but I also don't want to stiff this guy because he did use his own resources.
I'm finding myself in a pickle. So, two questions. What should I expect to pay for /sigh EIGHTY crates of tissues he's made me, and will the foods I make be mediocre at best with additives of this quality?

I wouldn't buy them that low, but to answer your question I'd be surprised if his cost was more then 12k/crate for the bsn and 14250 for the INN ( 3cpu for the flora and 15cpu for the meat ) The stats are so low the BE couldn't of used anything "good" in them. So if he charged you 15k/crate for the bsn and 18k for the inn...I guess. He can't expect to make very good money if he's just useing whatever he can find.

Ugh, he's going to be furious, but there's just no way that you can tell somebody you're going to make one thing and then offer up something totally different (and useless) at the same price. I suppose even if the price were lowered, there would be no way for me to buy them because I'd end up wasting the uber resources I've been stockpilingon terrible tissues.
What a shame. Does anybody else have a possible solution to this little snafu? I pretty much just refuse to buy them. Maybe he can get me the rest of the resources for things he wants and I can make him foods with the additives?

Ask him if he's a Master BE. If he's not, offer to buy INN's and BSN's made with the same resources after he hits Master. They'll probably be +114 and +84 by then.
Those are pretty low quality, but they're not made with complete grind quality resources either. He certainly should not have promised high quality then delivered below average.
That said, plugging those numbers into my spreadsheet, my prices (I was a BE before I took up Chef) would have been 30k per crate for the INN's and 20k for the BSN's.

lol yeah, i wouldnt use that low. Lately i been using all 87's and 117's, once that flora runs out, im not even looking forward to using like 85's lol.

Yes, he's a master BE, but all is fine. I told him that I wasn't delivered what we'd spoken about and that I wouldn't be purchasing them. I felt like a complete bi*ch, for lack of a better word, but honestly, there's just no way that I want to waste my resources trying to make poor tissues even semi-workable.

Gee, given that good flora runs 10cpu or more on our server, and good creature resources have broken 100cpu, he could have spent a LOT more 12k/crate.
As a BE, with a base of 24% from high-end resources and 7 experiment points (not a Master yet), I cap out at 82 for BSN, so 81 isn't a bad result. It could be higher, but not hugely so.
What is a concern is that he promised different results than he delivered. I wouldn't expect to pay the agreed upon price if he didn't deliver the agreed upon results. Personally, if I was that BE, I'd offer those materials to you at a 20% discount in hopes of keeping you happy as a customer (or I would never have run the schematic in the first place).

If you pay 10 cpu for inshift organics you're crazy. Find a good location and ask your friends for some help. I pay my friends 2cpu for whatever I pull from the hoppers and have no problems getting 30 or 40 harvesters put down for me ( most of them would do it for free but I choose to pay for their help ). I pay power and mant on the harvesters all they have to do is place and run a macro I send them. Most of them make 1-2 ml in a 10 day shift for about 15 minutes worth of work and I get millions of resources for about 3.2 cpu.I alsoget to give friends money they'd never normaly take from me

With good flora you can use lower quality meats so wait till rancors ( or something like them ) have 1/2 way desent meat and contract that out. If people are paying100 cpu for rancor meat then your server is really messed up.
As for the not being able to make anything higher then an 81 because you're not master yet..... sorry but I wouldn't buy from you untill you are.

What is this macro you speak of Vel? what the heck are you talking about omg no wonder i suck a being a chef.....am i the only one who barely understood Vel.....???? I feel so stupid lol OMG i am going to give up chef and become dancer...i think that's all the brain power i have .......
