i don't pvp, either on my chef or on my combat char, but i do feed a *lot* of pvp'rs.
the names of my toons are very similar, and it's fairly common knowledge that all my toons are me behind them. the other night i was in a solo group as KBad, my combat char, working on finishing up master pikechick /flex. the /groupchat got to talking about who is banned from the most cities, etc.i said i've never been banned from anywhere and i don't ever pvp. some in the group said oh you SHOULD you'd be great at it. but some said noooooooooooo she's rebel, i'd have to not kill her because she feeds me! and others said oh could be interesting, i'd offer you free passage for a 10% discount on ahrisa.
once my chef char was declared overt by stormies, and i decided to risk it and go out surveying anyway waiting on the covert timer. and once more recently my combat toon was tef'd after killing some stormies out in the middle of nowhere. both times, overt imps that i know saw me, and /tsk'd me, but didn't try to kill me. they told me flat out that it's because i'm their chef, they just wouldn't kill me.
i'm certainly not going to test the 'don't bite the hand that feeds you' theory by running around overt all the time, but that /groupchat conversation got me to wondering if any other chefs with combat toons have similar experiences, or if some of you do pvp. would be a weird feeling getting killed by someone i knew was eating my food to do it, i think.

I always leave space for a Blue Milk just incase I find myself in a bad spot...

One of the most visible and notorious PvPers on Starsider is a Master Chef. He is overt a good deal of the time. I have not idea what his template is, but I do know he can hold his own in a fight and is in a PvP guild.

Heh, for a period of time, I was an incredibly hated imp on my server with my main, while a crafting chef with my alt. I make all my products with pvp in mind. (when applicable, vegehash isnt a pvp food mind you)
I ended up retiring from pvp for 2 reasons....
1) pvp is pretty skilless in this game compared to my fps background.. The only skill is camping/buying loot/good equipment, (which my buisness allowed me to buy anything/everything I needed) and applying state's to people. not rocket science mind you.
2) it cost me a lot of free food! I played a mcm/md, so I ran with 2-4 bodyguards, they all got free food, as what use were they to me if they were dead?

Naw, I'm a chef/dancer, more fun that way hehe. Off launch I never really got into combat, I prefered the crafting, healing and entertainer professions

i used to be chef/pike on Bloodfin.
I dominated so many ppl lol. I had tons of cash to buy uber pikes and I beat almost everyone I dueled 1v1. Dots killed me tho but I usually got them b4 they got me. It was really sad to be beatin by a chef/pike

Hehe, I have conversations with my customers after I kill/am killed by them on what we we had eaten at the time. Builds up strategy talking about what foods we use and the ups and downs of eating foods that don't last the 45 min duration for pvp encounters etc. Good times lol, no hard feelings. I am very conscientious to always be kind even when killing my opponents as it's just a part of the game and I still want them to be my customers. That said, as a chef I can afford toys that few others can and I like to win, so, I guess you could say I like killing my customers lol.
