thought speederbikes were best for artisan xp

Thakitillo gives 367xp per craft, so it would take you 16690 crafts to go all the way up FS Experimentation.

Wastril Bread anyone?

Speederbikes give most XP per craft... but they also need tons of resources.
Thakitillo has a ratio of 4 XP per 1 resource.
Speederbikes have around 0.25 XP per 1 resource

So might be faster, but costs around 16 times as much, or even more, since general craft XP trades for a worse ratio too. Might need around 25 times as many resources.

your choice

It only takes about 450k of Greens, 450k of Fungi, 350k of Water, and 350k of Soft wood touse Thakitillo for the grind. It would only take a few days to harvest this your self and youronly cost would be maintenance and Power

I'm rather disappointed in the whole "grinding uber alles" mentality behind a lot of the design of the game, myself.

I've been contemplating getting the FS experimentation boxes, to boost my Amazing results, but the grinding you have to do frustrates me.

Let's think about this:

I've been a dedicated Chef for six months, making high quality food and selling it at affordable prices so that real people can eat it. I've been honored to have a broad base of loyal customers and I love designing food, crafting it, selling it, and advertising and promoting my shop.

However, it seems what SOE would prefer me to be doing is sitting in the Village on Dathomir running a macro-grinding program to waste hundreds of thousands of units of resources in practice mode on food that won't even exist, much less ever be eaten by anybody.

Isn't there something wrong with this picture?

What I really don't appreciate is the bait and switch that they did in creating the FS missions

The whole design was supposed to appeal to every single kind of player, not just combatants. So that Crafters, Medics, and Entertainers would all be able to progress into becoming a Jedi (of sorts) without having to do combat. And I was very enthusiastic in starting those missions. Its true to a degree, but its too combat centric for my taste. That being said alot of those missions are nice because they're different than just regular lair destroy missions, but I still call false advertisement.

And its not like they can't think of an alternative to grinding, because they have, its just less work for them. First in becoming force-sensitive through the badges I thought was a very exciting idea. Thats achievement based, not grind-based. And also alot of the space missions are all achievement based, but there is some xp grinding there too. The Western and Theatrical Entertainer Quests are also a good example.

But, as many crafters were pointing out before Aurillia, once you're a master, you have all those xp points just lying around doing nothing, and we asked for something to do with them. It doesn't have to be an alternative to regular casual crafting, but I agree, its not set up in a very player friendly style.
