Thread: CHef Concern? Possible reason to never use food again. Revamped Debuffs.
There will be no reason for combatant to use regen food again when this goes through because most elite pvprs will have some CM in their template, or the ability to debuff as i mentioned.

i thougth of this too, but havnt seen anybody who was on the beta give any info.
do u think it would just =0 till it wear's off than the food reactivates?
I'm not sure to be honest. I'm just going by beta forum posts right now. I haven't tested in a few days due to RL stuff, but hope to have an answer tonight or tomorrow.
Ya but everyone would use food. Even if you got debuffed if you wanted the "edge" that food provides (and honestly it's just an edge) you'd still want to take the chance that a person wouldn't debuff you.
Besides, especially in bigger pvp battles it may take you awhile to get debuffed and that edge will help a lot.
This might hit a nail in a coffin for a lot of chefs.
I can see a lot of problems.
Its not just PVP that this is gonna kill you, its gonna hurt in PVE as well. I'm on dial up so I can't test it, plus my folks are here visiting this week.
With the NPCs using specials now they will just as easily kick off your foods. If your foods don't return after the state wears off that's going to leave you with a full stomach and no food buffs.
This could very much be a concern, can our Chef Correspondant look into this please?
As long as the debuffs have a short duration and dont cancel your buffs totallyI dont see what the problem is.

As in remove them completely from the bar? Can you confirm this and when did it happen. Before when the debuffs wore off the buff was still there.
Additionally no one has posted what happens if you have both a doctor buff and a corresponding food buff.
Additionally if you dont have food buffs and get hit with a debuff what will happen? Isn't the counter to a buff a DE-buff?
So far it looks more like burst run is going to be the only thing thats really going to take a hit. Doctor buffs have always been counters by CM debuffs and foods the same as well.
If they remove them from your character totally that needs to be addressed.
That is just a tad overpowered 
I've ask for confirmation.
How about this....
LAXETIVES!
Say it clears you food/drink bar but youhave -20% regen for like 10 seconds or something, then you can eat your foods again
