That wont work, when the schematic is created it will record the serial number of your 200 starshines as starshine comp 1, and will record the serial number of your 600 starshine for starshine comp 2.
So when the starshine 1 count of 200 runs out, it will not grab from your 600 pile.
In order to do a continious run of 400 you will need, 400 of one starshine, then 400 of another.

I am making sunburn now. I have about 200 starshine from one factory run and another 600 from a different factory run. the state on them are different. I'd like to make 400 sunburn in only one factory run. If I can mix them together, would my final product have differnet states?

You'd be able to do two runs of 200 with those starshines. First run uses up the 200 in the first set and 200 from the second. The second run would use the remaining 400 from the second set, one in each slot. You can't make one schematic to use up all the starshines in one run, since the schematic requires identical serial numbers on components (but different slots in the recipe can accept different serial numbers).
Well, OK, technically two runs of 199, since you'd use up two starshines creating the schematic.
The stats of the sunburn won't be affected by the stats on the starshines, this is a bug that's gone back many many months. Only the OQ of the reactive gas makes any difference.
