my guess is while they're alive, like how we search the lairs for eggs. With perhaps a chance they'll aggro you. I dunno.

I am looking for milk for various food types and was wondering if it is still needed? My schematics says so but I have only found 3 units and that was over 2 months ago. Any clues on where to find milk? If it is not still being used please let me know and I will not waste my time looking for it.

Right now, it is one of the most rare things in the game. Sometimes you can get some off night sisters and sometimes you can find some in the lost village on Talus.

The good news is in the next patch it is going to be a lot easier to find. Scouts will be able to get it from herbivores.

I'm still not quite clear on how milk is extracted. Is it from live creatures like DNA, or dead creatures like meat?

This could lead to some intresting job titles..
