So that's the same patch as the Chef revamp? Or can we expect the "Imperial Crackdown" before the revamp (I wouldn't put it past them )? Or the shaky possibility of the revamp being on TC before it?

Don't worry though. It's clearly not your fault anyways. And to be honest, being a Chef right now is pretty darn good. I was already having tons of fun with it, but business has really picked up with a much larger variety of people looking for food/drink. I'm really excited about the revamp, but I'm quite content with the way things are now as well. Re-educating people is going to be tons-o-fun.

Honestly....business has been slowing down for me a lot... If people don't buy the stuff I put on the bazaar I am going to have to do missions again to pay for stuff. I know a couple of other chefs on my server who are having that problem.

Sorry, just had to vent.

To answer your question, the chef revamp and the imperial crack-down will be in the same patch. In fact, I suspect it is the imperial crack-down or the cries of alderaan that is holding chef up.

Well SirVimes, if it's being held up byu something else, that means it's suitable for release for testing, right? Gotta look on the bright side.

And i must also agree, the rumors of a chef revamp of the magnitude promised [and I have been no slouch spreading the rumors] has increased public interest in food and drink. Good for us!

Figures. I suppose this is their way of having the GCW effect the general population.

I'm surprised you've been noticing slowing business. I get quite consistant business, and my shop is located on Talus (not quite a hub of traffic). The one item I've seen a definitely decline with is sales of Tat Sunburns, which I'm actually kind of pleased with because it means people have been educated about the other items. What server are you on? Is there a healthy PvP community? That is a pretty good drive for sales from what I've seen. It's still very surprising though... I'll do my best to bum myself out so I can vent along with ya.

Marrok,

I'm on Shadowfire, which is a low-pop server, and Imperial dominant, to boot. I am in a slowly growing player city which only recently got its shuttle, AND there is a megalopolis of a trade city which is well known that seems to draw many masters [of the few chefs SF has] and customers, so yes, I personally am no millionaire, heheh. And in general SF food/drink has been slow to catch on. Though there are many GWC PvPers, the death decay issue ground the entire process to a halt for us, and that just compounded the slow market for me. Which is a shame, because the PvPers on SF are healthy and agresive, they want to get at each other but the rarity of real master crafters [ie., a dearth of false holo masters who give it up for other things] coupled with dread of death blows makes everyone timid. Tat Sunburns though, are doing ok for me if I go to the GWC cities, usually folks looking for a quick fix.

Heheh, feel free to vent though!

I can't wait for the imperial crackdown!!

I've been a rebel for the longest time and always wondered why Inever get harassed. I should fear the journey to my factories!!

I hope the imperial NPC's become more prejudice too, they should despise aliens and harass them, however they should be friendlier to Humans.

All these exciting changes in one patch! I might pee my pants when I log on that day!

man my business is flying, and im on kettemoor. My BoH and Fishak are flying at 45-60k a crate. The people on my server are trying to level so many professions in their holo-induced jedi madness that they are looking for ANYTHING that will let them grind xp faster, whether it is mind foods to help dancers and medics, or everything to help the combaters. THey are grinding so fast I cant keep track of which professions my guildmates have anymore. I just laugh at them and take all their money all the way to the bank. hehe.

This week's Firday Feature is about one (of the many) enhancements for Publish 6, AKA The Imperial Crackdown. I believe it is coming to test center in the next two weeks, but don't quote me on that.

Yeah, I know, it is frusterating to me too! And no, I don't have any more information about the schedule than you do. I keep getting told maybe this dayor maybe another, but it keeps turning out to be true. The moment I know something that is reliable I will share it with you, I promise. But until then....sigh, I am as frusterated as all of you.

Two Weeks!!! Oh for F**k Sakes!!.

Back when they said we would get the chef improvements in December I was saying we will have them Febuary, giving them2 Months **edit** us around and put it off. Then they said the patch would be comming in January and so I figured ok, comes out mid January on TC and we have it by late Jan early Feb. Now we are told that it won't even go on TC before Febuary!!! **edit**!! (I know he sais don't quote me but when a devsais "2 weeks" and "don't quote me" in the same sentance it is never a good thing )

I know there are schedualling snags but from what I understand the Chef patch is pretty well done except for some tweeking and now it gets to sit on someones hard drive for 2 weeks till they finish the imperial crack down patch, which will be god knows when

There I vented.

Sorry to subject you all to this but I have been saving that up for 3 months now and I would rather have a rant and get it over with then keep letting it build up.Nikii has her lazy Holochefs, I get mad at this patch SNAFU.

It isn't out of my system but it is the last thing I will say on the subject.

I would rather they wait than hit us withmore chef crippling bugs, personally. I still have nightmares of the months we were unable to sell food due to bug fixes that were worse than the bugs...

This just in: Runesaber wrote in the BH board that the patch will be next week. Now, today is sunday. By European counting next week would be between tomorrow and next sunday, while AFAIK Americans count weeks starting on sunday, so he might have meant the week starting next sunday.
