Thread: Curious about Bespin Port...
Humm never even made it. Fishak is easier to make and has a larger buff and longer duration so i just go with that.
The tatooine specific resources make it a bit of a pain to make when fishak is better.
Bespin port is in high demand on tarquinas because of the way I marketed it. PvP drink all the way if you clone and die you wont have to wait 1400 seconds to drink another one all you wait is 500 seconds and bam your right back in the game.
That is what sold most PvP players most of them only stay alive for 10 minutes tops then they die creating like a deadzone with fishak but with bespin port they can always have a quik fix me up right after cloneing. I sell this drink for more then Fishak because of the pain it is to make.
I recently made myself a small batch of Bespin Port with some leftover aludium. I had good Tatooine resources and figured I'd give it a whirl. If I'm remembering correctly, the buff was about +500 to mind, but the duration was very short, something like 250s.Bespin Port is also costly resource-wise, since it calls not only for more ingredientsthanFishak, but planet specific ones. Also, it is as filling as Fishak but doesn't last nearly as long. It's not something I would stock.
That being said.... I wouldn't discourage a novice chef from making this item while you grind up to master for a few reasons. For one, I know that (at least on my server) mind foods and drink always sell quickly on the bazaar, and if you're handmaking your drinks for xp this might be a fun way to make some money on the way up. Ifon the other hand, you're already running your own vendor, adding a mind drink to the roster can never hurt. If you've already got regulars, I'm sure they'd be happy tohave a new option. And finally.... if the master chef across town is all sold out of fishak and beating 'em off with a stick, customers will probably be very pleased to find an alternative.
You may want to consider making your Bespin Port with a lesser alcohol, like Kylessian Fruit Distillate or Sullustan Gin. This will allow you to price the drink in a way that's more in line with the buff your customer will receive. The buff will be smaller, but it will be less labor intensive and costly for you.
In answer to your question about thunderclouds.... they sell slowly but surely from my store to a dedicated few customers who like it. However, this drink is even more expensive and complex to make than Bespin Port, and has a similarly disappointing buffduration/filling timer in relation to the resources required.
Hope that helps!
