Ok, this is enough. 5 attempts in making Canape and I crit fail each time during experimentation. SOE better fix this crap. Sick of it. Just noticing this problem of MASS crits today. The last few days they have been few but still enough to piss me off.

That does suck. Although any chance you were using a crafting module in a droid? See if it needs power; give it a command like "follow" or "patrol" and see if it beeps *low power*. Or just drop a battery on it. The effectiveness of the module in a droid seems to be related to how much power its got.
Even if this was with a crafting station, the next publish will reduce crit fails depending on your skill, so there's that to look forward to.

Are the five critical failures in a row the only ones you have today? Critical failures seem to always comes in groups for some reason (even the developers have noticed this.) But the groups should not be close together.
Honestly, though, they say they are reducing the amount of critical failures when the new patch comes out. Let's see what happens then.

You might want to buy a lotto ticket... chances of that are pretty low.
Still, I am sure that if you crafted enough, you would once again hit 5 crits in a row on those things. You got a percentage chance each time...

Well with using 14.91 tool, 43.XX station in a research center, +14 BE pyollian cake, BE bespin port, +8 assembly, +20 food exp, I also managed 5 crit failures in a row. This was while the shutdown messages were happening. I think I have noticed I always make crit failures (a lot) in the last 15 mins before reboot. Well after the reboot, I tried again. 7 attempts/foods, no crit failures. heh

There is a bug in experimentation, has been about longer than Stonehenge 
If you get a critical fail in experimentation, you will almost always get crit fails or amazing successes that act as a crit fail after every single experiment done on that item.
If I get a crit fail, I cancel the item & junk it.

^^ When I mean 5 crit failures in a row, I meant on 5 seperate food/drink attempts. I also junk anything I get a crit failure on soon as it happens.

I got that beat... couple days ago I had four straight crit fails, all while under the effects of Bespin Port.

One thing to watch out for. If you crit fail and the % drops to zero, you can never raise it. You might not be getting amazing successes that are acting like crit fails, you might just have zero'ed the experimentation bar.

When I get crits like that, I just make the item and put BAD after the name, then use it with one of my toons while messing around doing stuff. But yeah, getting a crit failure sucketh.
