Thread: what can be milked, and what are mollusks/crustaceans good for?

i have several friends that collect milk for me, but when they ask what creatures can be milked, i do not know the answer. i'm sure i saw a list somewhere when milking was added to the game, but i cannot for the life of me remember which forum it was in.

also, friends keep giving me mollusk and crustacean, thinking that logically they sound like chef things. but, i don't see them anywhere on sciguyCO's revamp food chart (which i use all the time and amvery grateful for). are these not used in anything yet? will they eventually be chef resources, or are they just plain organics?

thanks for any help you can give me.

Mollusks and Crustaceans (which are classed as sea foods iirc) are needed for BE goodies.

As for milking, I dont know the definitive list but I do know of a few creatures which give higher yields. The ones I can think of off the top of my head are the pickets on Dantooine, the humbabas on Talus and Corellia, the brackasets on Dathomir, the famba on Naboo (think Kaadu also give milk although looking at their size, Im not really sure of the amounts)

I generally use the pickets since the missions are easy to get and they tend to be close to player cities or outposts

a ha! so i should give the mollusks and crustaceans to my BE connection!

i have one friend out milking kaadus, he's working on CH. he really likes the taming cookies (what i name the almond kwavuu biscuits) and blap biscuits i think are the + to pet health food. i have a char who's master CH but i hadn't bothered to make those, sincemy pets are so high-level that +500 wouldn't really help things. but for this friend's low level pets, they're a great help.

that's the main reason i did chef, to be able to play with the foods i can't find on vendors. i don'tplan to have a chef businessever, but i'm really having fun experimenting. i dance with my iron chef title up sometimes, and get asked about brandy a lot. i say i don't have a store, and you can find brandy pretty much anywhere. but...if there's something you want that you haven't found, let me know, you can help me get the resources and i can make it to see if it's any good.

I think most herbivores are milkable, but I'm not sure. On Tatooine you can milk banthas, rontos and eopies, don't know what else, eopies yielding the least and in my experience bantha matriarchs the most milk. All of them give wild milk except for Dwarf banthas which give domesticated. Weird, I know. O.o
