Hey All, I just reached Novice Chef and don't seem to be getting the chance to experiment. I have a 40% crafting center and a couple of really good tools but never get the experimenting choice.?.? I haven't seen anyone else mention this problem and am wondering if I have something wrong with something.

Any info is appreciated!

You need to be sitting/standing in front of a public crafting station, with something other than a generic crafting tool.

Thanks for responding Bowcazza but I am aware of both of those points.

Hmmm. Maybe when I log back on when I get home from work, it'll be different. I was mainly making sure it was not a bug. Thanks again for the response.

If you have multiple crafting stations in one room (I have 4 in my basement), you may find that you need to stand RIGHT in front of the one you want to use.

I know if I take a few steps away from mine, it stops working....but only with other stations around. The one in the basement of myother house works just about anywhere in the basement...and I only have just the onefood station in that house.

Might want to try a droid as well, see if you get same results. I actually never craft in my house anymore, as I seem to get better results with my crafting droid.

Ok I just figured out why I wasn't getting the experimenting option......my droid, which was supposto have a med/food station in it doesnt have one. I'm pretty po'd. I thought I had tried in front of my station in my home too but I guess I didn't.

This brings up another question. Is there a way to 'examine' a droid to see what type (if any) of stations are built into it?!?! I originally asked the DE for a droid with both a med and a weapon station in it. Apparently he only included a weapon station. I've been duped! :0

Good that you figured it out. Another thing to remember later if you are still having problems with experimenting is that some things, like components or containers, don't have any experimentation option. I only mention this because it confused the hell out of me long ago when I was doing architect and couldn't figure out why I wasn't getting an experimentation option on structural mods when I had the week before.

Mine shows medical rating, but not which crafting stations are installed.

Don't think there is a way to tell...I'd go yell at your local DE.
