As the topic says..
I know brandy is good.
Can anyone tell me if there's any other food you should be carrying around with ya?

well, since everyone uses different skills, has different HAM, and wants different bonuses, there's no one right answer to that question. this web page lists the foods chefs can make, and will give you an idea of what's out there:

I'm a big fan of Synthsteak and Vercupti for my own personal use. I use my Cupa mount as a bit of a tank, Sweesonberry Rolls helps him last longer.
For stat buffs, the best thing to do is to find out what you're running out of, and buff that (using the food chart linked above as reference). If you're using up mostly action (or getting hit a lot in the arms/legs), get some Accaragm and Kiwik Swirl.
Picking non-stat buffs would really depend on what you're doing. If you do a lot of PvP and end up getting knocked down a lot, try Thakitillo. If you're a scout or ranger who harvests creature resources to sell, try Veghash (and maybe some Jawa Beer or Terrata to help mask scent and camo).

When my doc fiance's buffed me up for a hunt, I drink down 2 brandies (BE if I'm grinding solo, regular if in a big group), then usually EB ahrisa, BE air cake, BE synthsteak, and usually BE vegeparsine or snowcake. If I can't get doc-buffed, I fill my food bar with BE ahrisa, scrimpi and gruuvan, and sometimes drink a BE accarragm instead of the second brandy (needed for pistols and fencing). On hunts, I usually bring brandy, veghash and canape for the gang; it's hard to ween them off of brandy, lemme tell ya, even when they have a full dancer and musician buff.
For dancing/roleplaying in cantinas, an accarragm or two works wonders.

Yep,
Depends on what you're doing.
If your attacks use a lot of Mind, get some Brandy and/or Canape.
If you take a lot of damage, get some synthesteak.
If you are out to harvest, get some Veghash.
If you are Sampling/Taming creatures, get some Jawa Beer.
If you miss a lot, use accuracy foods.
If you get hit a lot, use Dodge and Block stuff.
If you engage in PVP, you'll want anti-KD, Poison, Dizzy foods.
Pretty much a food for most activities ingame. Buy the food that enhances what you do and test it out. Luck!

As a fencer (aka tank) I practically live off of blue milk. I always carry blue milk, brandy, sythesteak, etc.
