Just wondering. I know that there are some drinks where using a cask gives a noticeable difference over a small glass, but then there are some drinks that even when the base is 6 uses, using a cask only gives me about 11.
Has anyone compiled a list of which BE drinks they use casks in and which they stick to small glasses or do you just go with casks on all?

For me all it comes down to is the cost of a cask vs the cost of the ingrediants going into 2 foods. That is a minimum of 40 meat and 120 good flora for mediums additive and then add 20-80 nice flora on top of that. Compared with 150 gemstone and 50 chem I will usually use the case all the time. The gemstone alone is always cheaper than the meat for me.
This is mainly for the customers. I tend to not just triple my price for casks though so your profit might not be the same on both things.
Using casks saves me factory runs and meat. The only reason I see to use small glasses for myself is to make more credits. That is extremely low on my list of priorities right now though.

Are you sure you were using casks, and not Large glasses? The larges give 1.5x the stack size of small glass (rounded down), the casks give 3x. This has been consistent for every single drink that I've made since the revamp (with the exception of T'illa T'ill, which is apparently locked at 1 dose).
As Numen said, the extra gem/trim of the cask is outweighed by the costs of the BE tissues, so if you can get three times the doses using the same number of tissues, that's already a cost savings. I generally charge around 2x more for casked than for small glasses, and drinks where that doesn't cover the cost of the additive aren't really worth enhancing anyway.

I always use casks when making drinks. The cost of the trim and the gemstone needed is the smallest cost for me when making drinks.

Well think about it. If your enhancing something, it's a waste not to get 3x as much for an item your potentially not making (BE additives)

with the value of BE tissues...I ONLY use casks for BE items. I use small glasses for the non-BE items with the exception of some in demand drinks like brandy. That's a drink that has a small market for non-BE stats but high quantities. I NEVER use large glasses because it's just not enough benefit for the Crystal cost.
there are some drinks where the quantity might be less...but I don't have a list - if I have the time, I'll be sure to keep that in mind while experimenting/cooking and take notes.

Ditto, always use casks in BE stuff, rarely use casks for non-BE drinks.
Maybe something like BOH, your profit margin would go down considerably using casks (since you can only get about 6 charges from casked BOH) but it seems irrelevant to me, since BOH is such a weak seller. Starshine Surprise and Flameout, too, I seem to recall, has low charges, and might not be worth it.

I always use casks in my BE drinks. I just find that it doesn't make a noticeable difference with some of them.
Anyhow, the cost of casks is factored into the cost for the customer so it's no loss to anyone. Right now I am working on reconfiguring my prices. I use a cost per use system right now but was checking out how Sciguy has calculated his costs. Granted I don't buy all my flora for 3cpu but I believe it evens out for when I do spend more. Now meat/hide/bone I do the 15 cpu which is consistant with what I will pay. And then whatever the total cost is, I double per his calc and that is final price. A lot of the items are surely cheap and rightfully so. Then for BE I add 25K for light, 30K for medium and 35K for heavies to the cost, except for items like Bivoli, Canape and Brandy. If I only added the cost of the additive to the base cost, I wouldn't be able to keep up with demand because it would be so damn cheap.
I have found however, some foods are insanely expensive for their skill or location in skill line. Bonus to block food is expensive due to the creature resources yet I can't see anyone being able to justify the cost for what it does. And right now it is actually sitting on my vendor for a hell of a lot less than what I calced it to be.
Anyway, going to use the price per resources *2 model to see how I like it. It works well less bought items and leaves me with a good profit too.
