as i am new to swg (well newish to swg but new to crafting) i would like to ask what makes a good chef resource and what do the different numbers mean for example i know that you want oq overall quality to be high and flavour to be high as flavour influences the buff size but what do things like decay resistance and potential energy do and what ones are important to a chef thanx for your help in this

When you look at a schematic of a food you want to make you will see the different categories that you can experiment on (flavor, nutrition, quantity, filling) and under them will be a resource stat followed by a percent. For a simple example let's take Bofa Treats:

Filling:
Decay Resistance 75%
Overall Quality 25%

Flavor:
Flavor 66%
Overall Quality 33%

Nutrition Value:
Overall Quality 33%
Potential Energy 66%

Quantity:
Decay Resistance 25%
Potential Energy 75%

You'll want to look for resources that have high values in the statistics that are listed for what you are trying to increase. In our example if you wanted to increase how long the buff lasted (flavor) then you would want to find resources with high values for Flavor and Overall Quality. Check some of the crafting FAQs on the boards and on other sites (such as swgcraft.com) for more detailed information on how to pick resources.
